Hi Caan I was introduced to match betting, but eventually the opportunities dried up, but while searching for videos, I came across your great channel, since then I've been trading, many many thanks😊
I've been watching the in play market recently and I think it is a minefield for the average punter. Only those with an edge like you highlighted in the video make it pay. Great content as usual, Caan.
David I suggest you look on another Betfair trading channel TH-cam channel The man is using Total Performance in play live times he's set up bots which are destroying the market, A lot of people are cottoning on to this,
Yes Caan , that prince escalus last week was the last horse i backed , the jockey jj oneil jnr is the dogs bolls .. im very selective and only bet when im 100% sure
I thought going to the race track 10 years ago and bet the winner has they crossed the winning line. only to find the winning horse was already at 1.01 before they even came around the last corner.(ASCOT)
Just a quick question please, how does social media groups influence the exchange, for example game stop price was influenced by social media groups beating wall street

Surprised there was no mention of TPD, that’s how it’s done these days at most tracks. It’s ruined a lot of in play, especially the AW. Really notice the difference at courses where it isn’t present like Cheltenham. Much better in play markets 👌🏻

I made money backing on each way extra on a certain site, I would recieve reduced odds on a price but have a better chance has I would get 5 6, 7 places! I was in profit after 2 years and then they suspended my account! Best bet was £20 ew on a 20/1 in a 14 runner race but was giving 14/1 has I had the option of being placed in the first 7 places, and it won! Had a few like that! But now account been suspended for two years now and will not let me back 😂
Taking value from extra places is another thing they willingly advertise and then restrict if you actually do it. Bookies are criminal at the best of times.
@@CaanBerryProTrader I couldn't believe it, I was gutted 8 times out of 10 I was getting my stake money back as I was taking 5/1 ew extra minimum, so money back if placed. Disgusting behaviour.
Why would they? Their sponsors don't want that... they pay a lot to keep up this fascade about "read the form" and "its a battle between bookie and punter". Because it's loaded dice.
I've thought about this quite a lot recently. Perhaps it's the optimist in me, but, I think predictive models can only get so good with regards to horse racing odds. The likes of Bet365 etc are undoubtedly already using AI, and their prices are fucking insanely good. Which brings me to my next point, bookmakers will always have their own books to balance, and as long as there are bookmakers, there will be poor value punters piling on favourites and upsetting their book. In addition to bookmakers always competing for near-top price in the market. So as far as bookmakers are concerned I think there will always be opportunities for us to take value. Exchange betting however is quite a different story, then again we've been on this constant curve with exchanges getting closer to true value with the increase in automation for some time now.
I suppose you have to consider the fact that AI and tech could get SO advanced that delays in market changes/books balancing happen before we even get a chance to place bets. But even with that said, there are certain markets where value is embedded into its core. Bad EW races for example. I don't think its possible to eradicate that value unless the industry moves to 1/6th place payouts and less places etc across the board. (What a terrible day that would be) Then again with this said, is it really likely that bookmakers will remove ALL value from betting? Seems as though if it became known that there is literally no way to come out on top, the industry would get an even worse reputation than it already has. Probably still wishful thinking from me again there but, it definitely is an equally exciting and terrifying time for tech
What about the comission? Is that 5% of all profit? If so when you stake 250 on a back to win £10 profit when it moves abit wouldn't the comission take more than its worth?
There is of course a downside to it, not every horse that jumps the last in the lead wins, and of course there's always the risk of a last fence/hurdle.
Very well said and true how many favs in particular either fall at the last fence ,or get caught by some donkey ,this man mentions exploitation lol it's been that by horse trainers and bookies ,since it all began trainers rule this game ,as long as they keep supplying outsiders every day bookies are happy ,even not bothered about the trainers and through to jockeys ,having there cut through sophisticated betting regimes ,the only difference with this is jockeys and trainers ,know horses are going to win lol imaging knowing a winner ,well they do .
You can hedge out the risk if you want, though I imagine it would be better to take on the risk and maximize your expected value-at least for players with decent bankrolls which I imagine these guys have.

Yes, same sort of thing happens. Umpires put in the points manually some places too so an additional delay.

Which one has faster real-time results with lower latency for live football matches, Geekstoy or Bet365 ?
Useless idea. Streaming TV regularly delays streaming by 5 seconds, and bet trading will empty your pocket sooner than you think
never bet in play unless a natural long break like half time in football etc
What is the name of that live tool and Where to get it ?
Geekstoy for Betfair
if a lot of people will actually get good at this, they will just increase the delay time. Anyway, nice video
