To be honest, I don't even think Brooch is broken.
The problem is Rapier and how it tripple dips with the brooch.

@@ThExitest well there are several ways around it to a degree such as mageslayer but he is right, rapier is the issue. The fact that if you ever stack rapier on someone like Zeus or sniper or Prophet and deleting team mate with absolutely no counter play is dumb. Is it improbable? yes but the fact that if you can, it is dumb. There simply need to be more counter play for spell damage if they are to keep this rapier.
If they nerf rapier or revert rapier, it would solve all these issues and brooch wouldnt be as broken.

Brooch is not really broken. When someone gets a brooch it's not like some unwinnable power spike.
It's when the carry purchases rapier that shit hits the fan. The rapier scaling is absolutely bonkers, take PA for example.
Rapier adds 25% spell Amp which affects her Dagger.
Then it adds 330*0.75 flat damage to Stifling Dagger.
Revenants Brooch changes your damage type to spell damage instead of Physical.
Now the stifling damage gets ANOTHER 25% damage increase from the spell damage amp, since the hit is now considered spell.
Add on top of it 330*0.75 + 150 extra flat damage from Khanda which also gets buffed by 25% from the Rapier Spell Amp.
Now you see where the problem comes from. You get SOOOO many damage multipliers from Rapier which is causing this insane damage. Have a PA swap the rapier for any other item and she loses like 75% damage.

Stacking Magic Resistance impossible for Carry heroes because magic resistance items aren't suitable for Carries except Mage Slayer (only 20% Magic Resist). Should Carry buy Ethernal Shrould + Pipe against Brooch?
Peeps also gotta realize that on top of 350 attack damage it also has extra 25% spell amp. Perfect item with brooch

he got speared, but the enemy mars uses bulwark and cancel his full pull back and he's stunned in place like that, you can test it in demo hero by pressing spear then bulwark really fast

What is there to stop Revenants brooch? As long as PA jumps in with Bkb ready, there is literally nothing to do against it. Unless of course... she goes in completely alone against farmed team I guess.
Pudge tusk would work but idk, theres other 4 hero need to counter so..
@@siskanotanexibisionist562 true. Spirit breaker goes through bkb too but PA is like chaos knight where its about luck of getting the crits. After they did this with Revenants brooch, ghost scepter becomes useless as well as any other item for disarm like Heavens halberd. There is also the issue of other 4 heroes in the team obviously. I just hope that once they nerf this item, they will remove the 'being able to attack ethereal units' part. At least that. Transforming physical to magical damage is huge too but not as bad imo, as you have items and heroes like Viper to counter it well enough Id say

@@29Kd11-f3l PA just switches off Brooch to deal physical dmg instead against bkb and glimmer... I guess you are right. As long as the game ends quick enough. PA with brooch, nullifier and their team with dust or something against invis... Especially in lower ranks :D. Its always the PA in enemy team too and not the one in yours that is a problem ;p.
Idk... maybe I am just looking for reasons for the item to be nerfed cuz I don't find it fun to play against for the most part(maybe I just don't play well against it at all)

I think it was the Mars spear, spear first, the travel was cancelled by Gods Rebuke, then the spear hit the tree behind PA, which caused the stun. Weird :0

The new revenant brooch reminds me of the Harkon's Blade from Heroes of Newerth.
Thats the point… abuse the meta and buffs as much as u can until they nerf it. Nobody will let u abuse something for life. Enjoy it while u can
i dont think brooch should be baught evry game on pa. if the rest of your team does mailnly magic dmg and the enemy allready build magic resistance then you need to go for physical dmg to diversify.
just turn it off to deal through bkb.
So they changed revenants...... made it buff af. Now it will get nerfed af and become useless again, like b4 the change. This happens so much. I think the worst nerfing has happened to poor old witch doctor. They have nerfed him for 5 str8 patches. Useless hero now compared to other supports.
It was good before the change, people just didn’t consider it. Things take time to evolve.

@@kegdotyno it wasnt. The toggle is what makes it broken. Toggle lets you choose when you can go in, compared to committing to magic attacks for a short duration, which you could counter with bkb. Now you cant.

@@zemel2050 I think eternal shroud should avoid you getting deleted with daggers. Gameplay wise, it's good to just 5 man everytime so PA doesn't get a pick off. It's a very risky gamble for PA cause she won't have any saves after BKB runs out, so it's also nice to have some BKB piercing stuns like primal grab and wyvern curse.

@@zemel2050 When you have that crit indicator, you need to go close to a creep or what then throw a dagger then right click fast you'll double it instantly

if you play ability draft and get wraith king's crit on a ranged hero, the crit proc isn't used until the first projectile hits and every projectile currently in the air is a crit. so if you pike someone you can get like 4 3x crits in a row. this is def a buggy dota thing but it's been around forever but it looks like this specific interaction might make it obvious enough for them to fix it
I truly wish for them to nerf this somehow, if you have ever played against it, its so frustrating without coordinated team
