THIS WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED

- My first vlog of 2018 didn't quite go how I wanted it to, mainly because the first couple of weeks in my new city didn't go how I expected it would! I ended up in hospital but thankfully the Danish doctors and nurses were amazing and looked after me.
Hopefully I am now on the mend and I am excited to start my 6 month secondment, and make some amazing memories in Denmark!

In September of last year, I had an abscess above my liver, and the doctors have no idea how it got there, because the bacteria that caused the infection was bacteria normally found in the gut. My last surgery had been 2016, so it didn't seem likely to be from that.
It was so strange listening to you tell the story, and it being almost word for word the exact same experience, just a different location. My doctors also said they didn't think it was because of the Crohn's, but it's not a stretch to think it's related to the surgery.
Glad you're feeling a bit better now :)
