Tainan city I hear is the new trendy foreigner hang out(kind of always was, but more so now), simply becuase they have been priced out of Taipei, plus its got great food and did I mention price?
Tainan is definitely much more affordable than Taipei. And the food is amazing. The biggest thing stopping us from considering moving there though is unfortunately the lack of good public transport. Hard to compete with Taipei's amazing MRT system
