Oh hey, it's Yeeew. Ok, it's me, Moves. Today is 8/26/20 and I just finished Burning Man 2018. I watched 2015, 2016 and 2017 over the past few nights. This is making the lack of a burn in the desert this year more bearable. I'm so happy you had the playa magic of camping next to the camp of your favorite art piece and then getting to be the grandfather. Awesome. I love your videos. I even get a sad feeling around 50 minutes in, when I realize we're closer to the end of the burn than the beginning - you know, that Thursday feeling. But the time travel you do in your videos mitigates the sadness concerning the expected end somewhat. And hey, now I'm going to go back in time to Do Burning Man 2014. Hope you'll be there. The sky is magnificent.
I've probably watched 90% of the videos people have made about their trip to Burning Man that TH-cam has to offer... but no cinematic journey through the playa is complete without "24 Hours at Burning Man". Thank you for this annual gift and thank you for all the hours that went into making this possible!
Love it Mark! Thank you for all you do to document the wonderful happenings at Burning Man! You're a big reason why I went for my first year in 2016, along with the movie, SPARK.
Hooray! This year will be my first and I've been watching all of your videos leading up to it. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into these!
It'll be just like the videos and also totally different, hotter and dustier, but you might luck out and not make a mess of your tent like i apparently like to....
@@markdaycomedy I actually saw you at the temple but it looked like you were having a moment so I didn't bother you. That was a very intense place, I actually broke down a bit myself. I didn't have a great time at the burn unfortunately but I think that' says more about me than the burn. I'm still glad to have experienced it and if I ever go again I have a better idea of how to approach it I think. Hope yours was a great one! Looking forward to 2019 in 2020!
Thank you mark for the amazing video. I haven't watched the whole video yet cuz as soon as I seen your set up of your light tunnel you made in 1999 it instantly brought me back to my first burn which was 1999 I was in kindergarten my parents brought me with them to BM and one of my most memorable moments during that amazing time at BM was how excited I was to walk thru your light tunnel. I can remember crying to my mom to let me go thru it one more time. My second burn was last year 2018 I robot. It was truly amazing.
Looking forward to heading home in a few weeks. Thanks Mark for getting me excited, inspired and so happy to be going back! What a wonderful gift your videos are. Hope to meet you and comment on the sky with you this year. Love you❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
*Very well* edited! Nice sharp colourful images! We loved this burn, think it was the greatest ever out of so many burns. I *hope* to be back this year and enjoy more awesome times with you. BIG thank you! 💖
Yeaaaaaaa!!!! This made my day!! And I only watched five minutes!!! Will have to find my comfy chair, a glass of something delicious and watch later on ! Thank you for your annual, awesome gift!
So wonderful! Mark, we took photos together in the ebb and flow photo booth at burn 2017! Still my best memory from that year! Thank youuu. this will be my 5th burn in a row! ✨💕✨
Hello Mark, thank you again for bringing one of the finest videos covering Burning Man. It's always a pleasure to see your perspective and the collaborators that help put this together. I am hoping to finally make BM in 2020. Cheers and have a safe BM 2019.
Thank you for reminding us how fantastic Burning Man is. One day I’ll meet you on the Playa and I’ll be able to join you in saying how magnificent the sky looks !!!!
This reminds me of the "Kinetic Sculpture Race" in Humboldt County, California. This is almost all moveable art. Very beautiful and heartwarming to see this as I'm an old man now, a hippie from the '60s, and this kind of thing is what we were hoping people would evolve to. A real "love" generation. I was going to go to "Coachella" this year but Covid has put that in doubt.
Holy Crap! My friends saw that dancer (57min) collapse and were so scared for him. After a few days of thinking they witnessed an artist die they ran into one of his friends and heard he was alive and in the hospital. I spoke with another friend of his later in the week and they were still worried he might not recover. SO SO SO glad to see that and hear he made a full recovery!
Hi Mark! Just wanted to say thank you for this. I want to tell you how much I really appreciate how far the hearing impaired stuff has come along in your videos. The captions you did yourself look great! The TH-cam CC looks pretty good too. Seems to have a bit of trouble with accents and windy audio, but the vast majority of the content is very discernable. I actually found it hilarious when folks were talking about the sky and it said this guy lol. Yeah I really love staring at this guy I know lmao. I was actually the one who suggested some form of captions a while back. I have a new TH-cam since I'm transitioning. Going to Regionals for years made me finally shoot my parakeet lol. I shared your vid in the Camp Envy fb group and I'm getting ready to share it on my fb feed. I usually don't share stuff w/o the words in some way since I have a couple of deaf friends, but I'm pretty sure they'd get a kick out of it too
I love your videos thanks you so Much! Every year it's a new moment of happiness and joy for me! Just continue to make exactly what you do, it's perfect! ❤️😍
Thanx for the amazing video Mark!!! Unfortunately I will not be going home this year... But I'll be back on the playa in 2020!!! Hope to run into you again so we can admire the sky together!
hola Mark, una otra vez muchas gracias por las buenas magnificas impressiones!! beautiful magic vid!! Danke für den UP!! hilariously nice magnificent phenomenal perfectly edited...merci!!
Love your footage! I've never been to Burning Man, but want to desperately. I feel you've captured the essence, and can't wait to experience myself. From small town Missouri, USA
Theost magical time at Burning Man is at the beginning, watching the city buing built, evolving from the dust... Then everyone else arrives on Friday...
For mr. Larry making 40 million dollars this year I thought there would have been a little bit more magical. I think the entire video should be blurred.
Thanks for all your hard work Mark! And thanks for giving some time to the Ultra Marathon again, I saw you filming as I ran (very slowly) by the deep playa aid station. Hope to see you again so I can finally do some burning man 🔥)'(🔥
It's become a "LOOK AT ME" world. I've never been to burning man, so i wouldn't know. I just see a lot of art and out of the ordinary things that would make a wonderful difference to my everyday life.
Love the side by side with the interviews, Mark. I'll share this on the FB podcast page. Check out Baba Yaga Book Club, Kostume Kult, Leori Gill from Shoot Me in The Dust Photography Studio, Andrew Johnstone who designed the Man Base, Desert Guard from Gobi Desert in China, and other amazing people building the wonders of Burning Man and beyond. Oh yes, Mark Day is on there too- all downloadable. Even more podcasts on Burner Podcast website, including Temple of Galaxia and Airpusher Collective. Who wants to hear Mark Day interview the marionette team on a podcast? Let's make that happen! It's fundraising season, look for 2019 artists looking for funds to make their art. One way to do it is join your regional social media, look up Honoraria on the BM website and google the art project, look to see if your favorite art from last year is going back and need upgrades, find the BM website page that is set up for artists and projects to post their fundraising campaign on a page set up for that. Easy to find if you use the search bar and use the term "Support a Project". Thank you for helping the artists make it all happen.
Hey mark! I think i saw you in 2018 at Burning man! Whats the music for the opening? Love it and i hope we all come home this next year! Happy Burning!

Thanks for putting so much time, effort and love into these, Mark. Going to save it for tomorrow night so I can watch while having a wee whiskey.
