Honestly, I found this arc quite fun but It's amazing how they know how awesome and beautiful God of War is and they most definitely knew that people would compare the two yet they still chose to go with bland animations, pitiful voice acting and an underwhelming story. They really went with the bare minimum.

The AC games have shifted so far away from its original stuff that it's no longer funny. It's completely lost its charm which the original AC games had. Its now just a regular run of the mill RPG game with elements of mythology mixed into it.
I completely disagree. I came to odyssey this week first time playing an ac game in years. While it has some rpg elements for sure it still feels entirely like the series that’s been around since the first one. I think Ubisoft has done a good job trying to evolve the series and keeping it faithful to the original series. This comes from someone who isn’t a fanboy of the series and just likes playing good games. My only complaint is the disgusting in game store.

@@ivans.5959 I remember people complaining on how up to Syndicate that they all felt like the same game all the way through, that they were stagnate. Then Ubisoft took a break a restructured it which then got use Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.

Is it just me or does the animations and physics in this game look much worse than previous titles? Super floaty hair, glitchy capes, bad lip sync and over exaggerated character animations? Like when Thor was talking, he was going around like a ballerina when he was talking.
It's not you, everyone else is dumbed down. I mean they could have literally picked from 14 years of development or just use the For Honor code and animation data. This is one game I'm NOT getting based solely on that suckiness of their combat.
I've been saying this too but the Ubisoft fans have been telling me that I am a hater and should trust Darby.
well that's is what happen when they decide to try to do an rpg games so the animations in this genre are a huge problems(just saying the third person rpgs with the best animations are currently Inquisition and The Witcher 3)

I feel like the last true assassin’s creed games died along with Altair, Ezio, and Desmond...
Unity was the last good one in my opinion. Syndicate was so boring I never finished it. Odyssey was a good game from what I heard but not an Assassins Creed game. Origins was pretty good story wise and actually involved the Assassins but the gameplay annoyed the crap outa me. Now it looks like this game will just be like Odyssey.

@@kronosleblu888 oh I’ve definitely played the games mate. The thing is origins, odyssey and Valhalla are still ac games. Difference is AC1, AC Ezio Series, AC3, AC Black Flag, AC Unity and AC syndicate are about the war between the brotherhood and the templars the latter 3 are about the lore and history of things. So its still an ac game. Mechanics are a bit weird here and there sure but its still the ac game we know. Another annoying bit is that some dlc hold key and important parts of the story but u have to purchase them. I understand why but still annoying.

This game's really fighting an uphill battle trying to portray Norse mythology after God of War 2018. Just the glimpse we got of Thor at the end of GOW was already so much cooler than this weirdo.
I think the worst part of this is that the jotnar hardly look like giants. Pretty sure there were main game enemies that looked larger.

@@thedarkapex5327 but we can these games are both based on Norse mythology and gow was released 2 years before ac but it still has so much better graphics,story,character development,the gameplay was very smooth and all the side missions felt like they were part of the story but ac has graphics that look like it was made in 2016 the side missions were just boring and the combat was repetitive sure god of wars combat was a bit repetitive but you can get a new weapon half way into the game that you can get new skills you get new arrows for Atreus and you can buy armour and runes from the shop and gow has a rage mechanic that you have to fight to get the rage so yes we can compare gow and Ac.sorry to break it to you but infamous second son has better combat than Ac Valhalla
