In the first episode of 100% Skiing, the filmmakers sit down with Swiss super shredder Phil Meier and take us through the last five years of his skiing travels. Follow Phil deep into the mountains of Austria, Canada, Tulsequah, Georgia, Russia, and his home of Verbier. He rides some incredibly steep lines, sets off more than a few avalanches, and has the time of his freaking life while making sure to always get home to his family.

A lot of fun; but not for a family man. Short life expectancy too. Fun to picture being there; thank you for the entertainment.
title describes what happens at 2:43
Thank you!
Props!
Not all heroes wear capes
Lol, was expecting something way bigger than that. Don't get wrong still deadly but I was expecting a massive avalanche.
That wasn't an avalanche, large or small. That was just a big snow splash. Pardon my lack of a more technical term. But an avalanche requires a massive amount of snow hurtling down the mountain. A "huge avalanche" would be deadly and would take out any obstacles, such as long-standing trees. (Apparently, this area is treeless.)
That was some ballsey stuff. NICE
"Babe, I know I've been gone for two months and I hear the kids screaming, but I just need a couple hours to find myself." Uh, huh.
hahahah
I love how Tulsequah is listed as if it's a separate country LOL
lol..."between Canada and North America". strange description.
That's some awesome avalanche avoidance!
This video is tuuraaaaasssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh
Misleading title
NO ONE is ever a "boss" in an avalanche.
The title should be: Skier sets off a huge avalanche and is lucky to be alive.
💯
100% Skiing. well, they failed at math in primary scool
You mean primary skool. :-) Obviously, the video is not 100% skiing, but it is 100% ABOUT skiing, including the ramifications on your life and family of doing it professionally, etc. The problem is that in the context of TH-cam videos, the label "100% Skiing" is misleading.
and geography
and you failed english
And you failed at english and literacy but we dont talk about that do we😂
@@slytherinsupporter39 bro u took my joke fuck you lol
Song at 0:50 is Drown- Singleton
2:50 Alexander Blu - Emptiness
"between Canada and North America"...wtf?
i was just about to make this comment... hes not too great at geography aparently
diowk they mean the north part of america, sheesh.
Joe Junior I realize that but it's terrible wording. you dont call the northern states "north america "
Tony Naciuk believe it or not some people are that ignorant. my brother used to work for eBay and one day he had to deal with a guy from Tennessee that under where he was willing to ship he put north and south America so whoever bought the item lived in Canada and the guy was pissed! apparently he thought north America was Washington and Idaho and south America was Texas and Louisiana. lol
"Between Canada and North America" was certainly unintentionally comical. But the problem, I suspect, is not ignorance of geography, but that he's trying to communicate in English, when his native language is Swiss German. So, if you want to poke fun at him, let's see you do that in Swiss German. That would level the playing field.
very cool video, thumbs down for the clickbaity title maybe should be changed
The music is amazing who is artist? Skiing is pretty cool too
The title is not misleading lol
DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS VIDEO. It's basically a Phil Meier infomercial. Now say "thank you!"
between Canada and north america... wonder where that is... ;-)
broken back so i will never ski at that level but the closest i will come is my canoe. like skiing, once you commit to that line you're gonna ride it to the end, good or bad.
Seriously wrong title
When you love it you cannot fight it
1:00 can someone show me on a map where is the place between Canada and "North America"?
ha ha ha, he might be a flat earther
Amazing video with good tips and footage
Loves it more than his family. Hope they have insurance on him.
Kinda click-baity but they know it's too late lol
Thought it said Phil Mahre. Had to look it up on wiki.
When you want to ski all the time you are admitting you are an adrenaline junkie (says the ski fanatic).
im guessing the avalanche is in part 2 ?
Next challenge: Pike’s Peak then Everest. Don’t miss it!!!
Pikes Peak is way easier then Everest.
So right # mtb
No avalanche click bait bullshit
kgs311 yes there was an avalanche
kgs311 ever skied before? There was an avalanche
kgs311 2:47
Not only was there an avalanche, there was more than one avalanche.
Jesus is king. God bless you all
What band is that at 40 seconds in, kinda sounds like Interpol? Anybody?
too much talking
"I'm ready for my close-up"
why dont they set off bombs before doing these runs? (to trigger an avalanche before they go down the run)
They sometimes shoot cannons
please timeline gods. give this to them
Is he Argentine?
FU click bait!
simonnaylor 2:47
ya
Anthony Fritz nope def still click bait. It says he sets off a massive avalanche. All the ones shown in this video are very minor and the title says “an” avalanche. Not multiple downhill runs along with a biography about who he is and why he skis.
How do you say- extremely self-centered? I think this guy would be the poster child.
did he really just say between Canada and North America
last I looked Canada was one of three countries in the continent of North America
clickbait they don't talk about avalanches at all
where the avalanche?
@1:10 and @2:45, but perhaps not as "huge" as people have expected.
Do bulky storage containers set off a avalanche in you're kichen
What u have to do to have a life like this ? I mean i m happy if i can ride a week a year lol
That what I'm talkn about⛷️
horrible title. if anyone thinks he has the skill to ski out of an avalanche is delusional. he might be crazy skilled, but it is mostly just pure luck,
Total bs, misleading, don’t subscribe.
🇨🇭👌
Skis out like a boss.... like a mafia boss... ?
Don't be dumb
I mean, yes, you have a child, it's incredibly selfish. Next time don't have a child
Worst
Pro skier I’ve ever seen.
Jesus is king. God bless you all
Science and Psychology is King. Good luck.
