The previous recording also had some bad audio desync issues which were really annoying. I've also made some changes as to what is recorded as the video guidelines are less experimental now as they were back then. In the previous recording, I show all the blue coins. I do this by getting the blue coins at the beginning of the mission. Some blue coins are mission-exclusives so I was never able to get all blue coins in one segment. Unfortunately people complained that these blue coins were an annoying distraction to the actual shines and it would add many extra minutes to some stages. I can agree with them and it caused the previous recording to be several hours longer in total. It's important for us to show as much of the game as possible and we always like to include the best and final ending of each game, as we did with Super Mario 64 where all collected shines will get you a special ending with Yoshi. Unfortunately, in this game that's not the case. The ending is simply a splashscreen, a photo, which shows after you defeat bowser with all shines collected. Is it worth it to make this longplay three hours longer and much more distractive to show just that? I didn't think so. For that same reason I also skipped over the 100-coin shines. Everybody's here to see gameplay footage or to see their favourite mission, not to see me collect 100 coins on a stage. Especially not if it doesn't result into anything worthwhile. What i really love about Sunshine is that it is completly uni-themed through the whole game. Every other main Mario game has Ice Levels, Deserts, Ghosthouses, Castles.. you know? The usual Mario stuff all mixed up. But Sunshine sticks to the idea of a holiday island with villages, a beach, lagoons, a hotel ect.
Underrated and a collectable for sure along with Luigi’s mansion. Both underrated games, Luigi’s mansion I recently got back on our gamecube and man the disc alone can range up to 90$. Sunshine was overly hard in some of the missions.

just beat Super Mario Sunshine yesterday with all 120 shines, I gotta say. it does have flaws due to sensitive controls and terrible camera angles (especially not able to change the camera controls) but this has to be my favorite Mario game. 😌

You know I have been hearing that Super Mario Galaxy was initially intended to be on the same console as this. That leads me to wonder what Galaxy would’ve been like as a GameCube game.
I love this game one of my favorites I remember when I bought the GameCube this game came with it and baseball game I played Mario sunshine and fell in love with it and became my top favorite so it’s nice to see it again so much nostalgia to.
So the interesting thing is, the only times I ever die in this game are whenever it’s a secret or mini game level, or anything that involves a death fall. I don’t get killed in normal levels. I’m sure most would agree with me on that.

Probably because it feels like such a cutting-corners type of thing to do. These longplays aren’t speedruns. I think more people care to see the guy without any tentacles left than to have a bit of time saved

But I love it, even though I seen videos of the game and people talking about how they love it or hate it. We got introduced to new characters in this game, the music is amazing. I have the North American NTSC version of this game! It was one of the first Nintendo GameCube games I ever played several years ago.
Sunshine is my favourite 3D Mario game :).

This game is werid and I love it for being weird. I know it wasn't everyone's cup of tea when it came out. But I love it, even though I seen videos of the game and people talking about how they love it or hate it. We got introduced to new characters in this game, the music is amazing. And the challenges are fun, if not frustrating.
Also, I want a Strollin' Stu plushie, they so cute. I want one as a plush... Please make it Happen San-ei. (Also while that can we get plushies based on Marie designs from Splatoon 2 and 3?)
