Here is the link to my website’s tools and supplies page. It has affiliate links that should have what you’re looking for. I use these items myself and have found them to be the best bang for the buck. I hope this helps 😊 www.caketasticcakes.com/tools-supplies
Can I use fondant for this? Need to make it tomorrow and can only source fondant! Also I have 0 fondant tools so will I be able to do it with classic cake tools & a paint brush? Even if it is a bit harder? Beginner home baker 😂
You could do this with fondant. And you certainly can do this with whatever tools you have. If you have a sharp knife and can flatten balls to make circles, you can do this! To be honest, fondant isn’t ideal, but as long as you lay this flat on your cake, your birthday person will be happy! 😊
@@CaketasticCakes thank you so much for your prompt reply, it’s really hard to find gum paste in uk supermarkets so I’m glad I can sub with fondant for now & even happier I can make do with my kitchen knives 😂 will let you know how it goes, thank you for your incredible video xxx
I used black gel food coloring. A LOT of black. It does start out gray but I just keep adding black. This will make it soft from some much moisture being added so you may have to let it sit for a day to become firmer, or if you have it, add a little cmc powder to it. Or, go buy some already colored if you have the option. Sorry I can’t be much help here
I just updated the description part of this video, so now you will see links to all of the tools I use. Specifically, here is the gum paste link: Satin Ice White Gum Paste, 5 Pounds, Decorative Sugar Icing - amzn.to/2HgO61q Also, you don't need much to make this - maybe about a cup to a cup and a half's worth (volume)
It is gum paste. Gum paste is basically like edible clay. You can color and shape and mold it, and if you let it sit for long enough, it becomes firm and will be hard enough to hold its shape. You can eat it after it hardens, too. It is very similar to marshmallows, and like marshmallows, when they harden (or go stale), you can still eat them. Gum paste also tastes like marshmallows, in that it is sweet without a real flavor (like vanilla). I have links in the description to amazon where you can buy gum paste. If you decide to try it out, I recommend using gel food coloring. Does this help?
That controller is kinda out dated, its a 360 contoller, the current one is the xbox one controller but again this year the new xbox's are coming out along with a new controller design

How much gum paste is required for this? Can you share the link for purchase?
