Hope you are good and well, hope you get out again soon, stay safe and well, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭 ❄ p.s duck tape ftw 😊
Beautiful introduction to your video. The entire video was a pleasure to watch. Well done on your editing and having fun on your adventure. Sorry about your pad. Looked like you survived the cold night! Awesome trip and video. Those cold winter nights are so quite and peaceful! Have a wonderful day.
I appreciate you watching Packs-a-lot! I'm going to see if can patch that sleeping pad today. I'd hate to have to buy another one. 😬💰 I agree winter nights are super peaceful. Take care 🤙
Looks like you had a good night, your sleep system must be pretty good as you didn’t want to get up to start the fire 🤣 If you cut your logs 3x as long when they are around 4-5” in diameter you can usually just start a small fire then drop the long logs on it and burn them in half, saves time/energy cutting all the short pieces…. That cedar was probably dry enough, the real test is to touch a split piece of the wood to your tongue, if it feels like your licking a dry piece of paper then it’s good to go 👍 Thanks for the video 😁
Thanks for tips! I'll try both of those. The sleeping bag I brought on that trip is a beast rated for -60F. I slept nice and toasty. I appreciate you watching, take care. 🤙
@@SignalOutdoors Thanks It's on my list. Live in SoCal it involves a little bit of traveling to encounter snow. But winter camp is my favorite done some in deserts and some forests.
Good morning. That was great to watch. A beautiful snowy camp in the forest with a campfire! Cant beat it. Good idea putting the duct tape on the end of your water bottle too. Loved that thank you
I’m most impressed by you setting up that camera in all that snow! I would’ve been frozen! As someone who lives in Arizona, what is all that what stuff on the ground? 😆🤷♀️
Running the camera in the cold is difficult for sure! Batteries last about half as long. The only time I was cold was when I crawled out of my sleeping bag to get dressed in the morning. That was cold. lol Its kind of funny, when I'm home I need to work my way up to going out to get the mail. However, sleeping outside...no problem. haha I can't explain that one. Thanks for watching!
Why is pine messy in a hot tent my mentor? I hope that's not a dumb question. I always enjoy your adventures, but I REALLY enjoyed this one, Aaron. Exceptional editing as always but your comfort level on camera or really showing through. It's the Aaron I know! Well done all around, jerk. 😀 My only criticism is that mint hot chocolate.
Haha I like mint hot chocolate because it has that manly burn when it goes down. 😂 Pine gives off a ton of creosote that will clog up your spark arrester. Eventually you'll start getting smoke in the tent when and get real confused as to why it's happening. Lol True story. Thanks for watching Tim. 🤙
I was cold just watching the video while sitting next to my wood stove... LOL I could not do that unless I had too and I doubt it would be enjoyable for me!
Looks like a great night out. My neighbor and I started winter camping and it's awesome!!! Some people in town that we know think we are nuts!!! Question.....looks like you have the same blue mug I have and also have that rubber duck lips thing to not burn your lips, how in the hell do you get yours to stay on? Mine keeps falling off. About ready to just glue it on there with crazy glue. Keep your videos coming and one day get to meet you.
Haha yeah I've noticed that most people think it's crazy as well. With enough practice and the right gear it is a lot of fun though! It's great to hear from someone else that thrives on the cold. 🥶 Thanks for watching.
Whoops I didn't see your whole comment. That hot lips I have is always on the verge of falling off but doesn't seem to ever actually fall off my mug. I think I'm just lucky. Lol it's actually designed specifically for the snow peak titanium mug I think. I'd look forward to camping with you someday as well. Maybe this summer sometime. 🏕️🌲

“Processing wood is like going for a jog, the moment you start you begin to wonder when you can stop” so true!! Great video! I enjoyed it 👍👍
Thanks watching Kenny! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. They need to make an ultralight backpacking chainsaw. Lol

Thanks man, I got really good at stick guitar on the this trip. Lol 🤘I appreciate you watching! 🏕️🌲
Man awesome solo trip! Thanks for sharing. Haven't done a snow camping honestly but wouldn't mind doing one since I have a wood stove too...
Thanks for watching! Winter camping takes a few tries to get the hang of, but it's a lot of fun. I'd highly recommend trying it. 🏕️🔥
