SO GOOD! Following along in this series has been amazing! Thank you for teaching this book! More pastors need to preach and teach Revelation it’s a book of HOPE not of FEAR! 🙏🏻
Revelation 11:1-2 continues with a conjunction " And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth." So what happen t the two witnesses? And I don't recall them mentioned at the time of the destruction of the temple.
Don't fall for the early date preterist view This is very simple to understand. Jews seek a sign. Greeks seek knowledge. Jews seek a sign because prophecy is a pattern with partial fulfillments leading to a final fulfillment . History proves this. In the west ( Hellenistic understanding), we see preterist theology, Polemical theology, historical theology, and futurist theology . If you were to ask Christ, the Apostles, Paul, or the early Jewish church, which is the correct view, they would have told you that all four are correct . Very simple to understand. The 95 AD is accurate and can be trusted. God bless
It's not surprising to me that we are now seeing an uptick in preterist theology. There is, in my opinion, a danger associated with this teaching . There is coming an Antichrist, ( ἀντί + Χριστός (anti + Christos). in place of Christ . If you are to believe that " it has already happened," there is the danger of accepting this individual as the return of Christ. Preterism stems from a lack of understanding of how and by who the Bible was written . It is extremely important to understand the Bible with a Jewish mindset, not Hellenistic .
Josephus was a Jewish historian. He was a traitor and wrote his works under roman rule. Not a catholic book. A historical book. Being that he was not a Christian follower his accounts give great validity to secular skeptics to accounts of Jesus life and the times the New Testament were written.
The white rider is Christ and armed with His bow. ‘I will heap misfortunes on them; I will use My arrows on them. - Deuteronomy 32:23 “For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, Their poison my spirit drinks; The terrors of God are arrayed against me. - Job 6:4 ‘I will make My arrows drunk with blood, And My sword will devour flesh, With the blood of the slain and the captives, From the long-haired leaders of the enemy.’ - Deuteronomy 32:42 He’s coming in judgement upon Israel here. His arrows are his plagues of judgement. Leviticus 26 demonstrates his judgement for their disobedience which is why we see the groups of sevens in Revelation. I will set My face against you so that you will be struck down before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you. If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. I will also break down your pride of power; I will also make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze. Your strength will be spent uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit. ‘If then, you act with hostility against Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins. - Leviticus 26:17-21 Look at the 4 horseman; these are also representative of Gods plagues. For thus says the Lord GOD, “How much more when I send My four severe judgments against Jerusalem: sword, famine, wild beasts and plague to cut off man and beast from it! - Ezekiel 14:21
Quick rebuttal, first the rider does not have any arrows. So all your arrow verses can't apply. Second the rider has a crown. This word is stephanous in greek meaning Victor. The crown then spoken of later in revelation about the white rider who is christ in that passage chapter 19 I belive is called a diadem in greek. Meaning royal crown. I encourage you to research the word bow and it's old testament uses. This may shed light. It is used as a term for deception. God bless. Don't be dogmatic.

what's THAT
That’s in the Catholic Bible. It holds no relevance. Per the council of Nicea
If that is true what about the Antichrist and mark of the best?
