With Zavala's Prelude, first seen at the huge D2 reveal, I will never mentally lose the uproar of the crowd at the shot of Saladin, Shaxx and Zavala in that fight for the last city. Rest in peace Lance
and the cheers right after when he used fist of havoc, gives me chills every time.

Has been kicking ass with us for almost 9 years, he etched a lasting impression in every guardians' hearts, be it a Hunter, a Warlock, or a Titan.
He rests now knowing what he has left is now on us guardians still alive, both new and old.
Rest well Commander, we'll see you starside. Leave the rest to us......

The saddest part is that Zavala's final lines (unless they pre-recorded a bunch for the current season) is him grieving over a grave..

I haven't played destiny since Warmind but the loss of Reddick is still painful

We held vigils for him in The Tower all day Friday from the moment the news dropped.

the video of his dogs barking was the last video I remember seeing on his instagram.. Such an amazing and kind soul.. Rest in Peace Lance
I’m so heart broken by his passing. I’ve played Destiny since the first games beta and Zavala’s voice is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think of Destiny. Lance was such an awesome person and truly loved his fans and his work. RIP to the Commander
ive played on and off for the same amount of time and i also have to say he is one of the first things that comes to mind when i think of destiny. been hearing the commander for almost a decade now, sucks to see him pass.
I played the beta on ps3 I got the white ps4 destiny bundle at launch

Per Audacia Ad Astra, We'll all miss him. He was a true character who touched many communities and even tho to some he may be funny blue man, to me he was one of my favorite characters in destiny.
He led us, held us together, and fought along side us.
It's sad to see him go before we could learn everything about him.
We'll miss you lance, the warlocks will all miss your presence and it was an honor to share this game with so many awesome characters.

I stopped playing destiny for a bit, and I still remember the fun times my friends and I had before we took a break. I will miss the voice behind the commander that pushed us through the fight against the voice in the dark... Rest in peace Lance. Wherever you are, your legacy will not be forgotten.

I haven't been this sad about a celebrity death in a long time. Knowing that he loved Destiny and played it often is even more gutting, because he doesn't get to see it through to completion of its main story arc. Nobody could ever fill his shoes.

Don't be worried if you're hurt or crying over someone you've never met, He impacted us in more ways than the physical. The stories he was associated with, his legacy as an actor throughout the decades, His more recent work where he showed emotion through his voice. A legend that impacted the world more than he ever realised - He will be missed. See you starside, Commander.

God Humanity has lost such an amazing actor. His voice was truly one of a kind. Powerful and yet so warm. I don't think anyone else could have ever played Zavala in d2. He is my one and only vangaurd commander and may he rest in peace.
His death hits harder because he’s one of the few handful of actors most of us can relate with. He’s goofy and a gamer which most of us can really like and respect

I think you are absolutely right Evan, he should have a proper sendoff in the upcoming year, a way to pay the ultimate respect in his memory, I like the idea of an Exotic weapon in his honor. Lance Reddick will be severly missed, he kinda was like a father figure to me, he taught me honor, respect, duty, commitment, discipline and sacrifice. Rest in Peace Lance.
This man was one of us, he even had 2800 hours of gameplay clocked in between destiny 1 and 2 before his passing. Awesome dude, i still can't believe it.
I can't remember any sense of loss from any other celebrity passing. They are mostly far removed from the reality most of us experience This one has been different. Lance was one of us and I miss him dearly. RIP old friend.
If they do an exotic for him, everyone should get it by default. "So that we may all defend humanity." I still stopped by and spent a moment with the good man today.
The day of his passing I sat in bed late at night watching some of the memorials for Lance Reddick and was crying, cause whether I realized it or not, he had been part of my life since I was at least 14. I'm now 23. R.i.p Lance.

I haven’t cried over an actor/celebrity’s death since Steve Erwin. Lance Reddick’s sudden departure to the next life and seeing the in game memorials for him made me cry at my desk.
Commander Zavalla was in my humble opinion the Optimus Prime of Destiny. The unmoving fatherly figure leading the side of good against unending forces of evil. His legacy will last for years to come, and we won’t forget him. As they say, Legends never die.
It’s funny how no matter how wild and unhinged gamers can be, we can still all come together to appreciate the games and the people that made the games iconic. I haven’t followed what was happening in Destiny or played it for a while, but if I had had it downloaded, I would have had my Hunter character there among all the others for the memorial. You’ll be missed, Lance. If you were a believer, I hope to meet you some day in a better place, and I’m thankful that you didn’t seem to have had any kind of long painful death, and hopefully that you are sleeping, waiting for your Ghost to awake you for the next fight.
Pisses me off. Lance still had so much to do. so many more lives to touch and give hope to. May he live Forever!

Lance Reddicks passing shows that we all may play different Games, but we all standing here, saluting a legend. I may not play the game actively anymore, i was a titan main in D1, used to be a Titan main in D2.
The tower tributes of people coming together is one of the best things I've ever seen. I don't play this as much as I used to, but even I loaded the game up to go pay my respects. RIP, Commander. You will be missed dearly.

I legit cried when I found out. He was such a fantastic actor and the fact that he was actually active in the Destiny community as a player just made it hit harder because I would have loved to play a game or two with him. Then this week's seasonal story mission brought the tears back. And now I'm crying again after the quote at the end of the video.

Since I started playing destiny, I've always had a knack of being able to do a zavala impression, even a few weeks in I had already considered zavala my staple character, a titan like myself, and I've brought laughs from so many people, from lfg to long term friends, just for my mediocre impression of this incredible human being. Thank you Lance, thanks for being the character I always looked towards, and thanks for being the man to bring so many happy memories
