The last 5 values i don't understand , can you please clarify more ? area under comulative cost ? what does it represent same with area under money recived . area between them what does it mean and it's relation with the interest charge an why divide it by 12

I see no word as "half" in the question, why u divided the rest retention by 2. The condition is that retention will be returned after 6 months....
