Sold mine in 2019 for $11k had 75k miles, similar one sold for $16k with 100k miles this month.... coulda held it as weekend ride and profited 😅 they only go up in value
I like most of the cars on the list, but don't care for high end German cars ( G Wagon and Porsche 911 ) as those turn into money pits as they age. I like the Rav 4 prime and the Ridgeline. Just surprised that there was only one Honda on the list. The CRV and the Fit also hold their value very well.
I’m wondering what’s going to happen to resale value of gas and hybrid cars as states start to either ban sales of new ones or start to give hefty tax credits for purchase of electric vehicles?
I’m planning to purchase the 2022 4Runner Limited Any issue with the rollover..what about safety? Any other good options I have ? Good for the interstate ? Please reply I’m planning to purchase it this week.
I know that you are looking at vehicles that hold their value over time, but I can't understand why the Tacoma is so popular now. They are made in Mexico, instead of being made in Japan. They are not as reliable as they were in the past. Plus you didn't even include a Honda CRV.
Hi Shari, great video and glad to see many Toyotas made your shortlist but also disheartening to see few Hondas made this list. Honda in my opinion is not anywhere as reliable as what they used to be few decades ago but to see Jeep Wrangler made this list kinda makes me think it is more market resale value is driving this shortlist. I have nothing against Honda but more so their arrogance of dealership and head office, they think they are untouchable. Honda reliability is down the drain in the last few year. I am speaking of owning Hondas for 3 decades and most recently in the last 10 years moved towards Toyota/Lexus. I personally think and want to see in the next coming fews years that Honda will not make this kind of shortlist from auto reviewers until Honda really go back to their roots. I think more Mazdas will make this kinda of shortlist if they keep producing what they have done in the last 24 months, Mazdas association with Toyota manufacturing plants maybe it will be a turnaround for this solid company. At least, Mazdas not associated with Ford anymore 😂
I agree a few Honda models may have slipped a bit but they are still one of safest brands to go with. I recently drove the redesigned 2022 Civic and was thoroughly impressed. I have a full video on it coming soon :)
@@carhelpcorner Hi Shari, I do not deny that Honda’s handle and drive well but it is long term reliability that I have a problem with especially the newer and recent models. Even the CRV Turbo engines, a Honda salesperson had mentioned to me that he returned his 2 year lease model because of oil consumption and oil dilution issues. These Honda Turbo engines are far from being reliable especially the 1.5 litre. The V6 models is very very expensive to maintain after the car ages especially into the 7+ years of ownership. I am old school and keep cars for more than a decade and even approaching two decades. The bar Honda set in the 90s is definitely they want to bury those cars of evidence because how good they were at one point. It is all about “Planned Obsolescence”.
Hard pass on the Honda Ridgeline, but a taco or tundra 😮💨 88-98 Chevy trucks are hot right now, buy one drive it for years and sell it for the same price as long as it’s taken care of.
You copied this video from another channel you guys have literally the exact same cars in almost unrecognizable exact same order ...I basically watched the same video twice
The previous gen tundra has horrible mpg. We were lucky if we got 15mpg on the freeway with the cruise set on 75mph. It had the 5.7 v8. A friend of mine also has a Tundra (2021) with the 4.6 v8 4X4, (like mine) and he only gets 13mpg. When Socialist President Biden shut down our oil pipeline causing our fuel prices to go up by over 200%, we had to sell our Tundra.
I am sure Toyota RAV-4 new owners(purchased in 2021) who have paid over MSRP gonna be hit most when chip shortage ends and more and more brands hybrids are coming this year. Honda and Hyundai have already entered with CRV and Tucson. Nissan will enter with its Rogue soon this year. I know Toyota is hiding its inventory to keep the prices up but that won’t last when other brands start getting chips. Compact SUV hybrids gonna be very competitive soon.
I was gonna change the channel after seeing the tundra but I stuck around and saw that my truck is number 1!! Yessir!
I bought a 2005 Honda S 2000 in 2005. I still have it and it runs great.

My TRD Pro Tacoma hasn't lost a penny of value and it's almost 3 years old.
Hi, thanks for the nice video. Can you please make a video just for electric cars? I mean electric cars with highest resale values.
The subaru wrx should be in it. I just traded one!
All Subes go for a lot for their age. You'd have to be in a ski area to see enough choice to do well.

How about the resale value of 2022 Subaru ascent
My dad sold his used RAV4 for a bit more than what he got it after 2 years and 30000 km (before the current crisis).
What statistics did you use to make these determinations???

Wrangler, Rav4, taco and 4runner, way to go..Honda is good too
A low priced used Honda is hard to find.
Where are the LEXUS's especially the IS 350....
A 10spd transmission would be a huge plus for the 4Runner.
@limelife7457 I think Toyota is going to do a total redesign next year for the 4Runner.
I would still prefer a 10 spd transmission for fuel mileage.

Lol where are the Lexuses and Acuras 😂
Team Toyota !!!
Thanks
My vehicle is not on the list. Honda Odyssey 🤒
Are these cars applicable in Canada ? Or is it USA?
This video was made before the release of the new Honda CRV Hybrid. How would that model hold up?
Since Toyota and Subaru are in bed together, Subaru still doesn’t make a reliable hybrid in either the Outback or the Forester.
How about Mazda cx-9

i see all these cars and the prices and i think damn even with excellent credit and good pay i still buy crap cars, that versa is style :D
Ya, I'm thinking of buying an old MR2, likely an 86 - 89. In great + shape of course. Had one back in the day and it was bullet proof.86 non SC
@@ethimself5064 I had an 89' SC I parted with, loved that car! Hopefully still living a good life somewhere.
@@MrMountainHawk Kool
@@MrMountainHawk Just remembered - the SC mR2 with an autobox was the fastest production car at the time from 0 - 60. 🤣🤣 Go figure
Where's the Toyota Landcruiser????????
You copied this video from another channel you guys have literally the exact same cars in almost unrecognizable exact same order ...I basically watched the same video twice
do you have a link to the video u are refering to ?
What are your thoughts on the Highlander Limited?
One of the safest choices if you want a 3-row SUV. Very well designed and can easily run reliably for 10-15 years. Same is true for the hybrid version
You used the word ‘extremely’ too much.
The resale value of cars are difference in AFRICA
Does the new Hyundai Tucson get a good resale value
There are more used sitting on lots. I’m about to grab one.
Sooo.......Buy a Toyota? Because that brand kept showing up.
I have a batmobile for sell.
No CR-V??
CR-V had excellent resale value too. It would easily make the top five list for crossovers of it's size
It's not what it used to be anymore.
There is a new CRV released after this video
Wait (a year!) and buy a brand-new (one). Seriously? And what are you driving in the meantime? Nonsense.
