I stayed at this hotel after being awake for over 30 hours. I have a fond memory of how much dopamine I felt as I realised there was a hotel in the terminal I could just go pass out in. Amazing hotel too!
How I wish to stay in this kind of hotel. And I can just sit by the window all day watching all the airplanes taking off, landing and park in the runway. Ooh I love airplanes.
Hi Tim. I love the idea of staying in a hotel in the airport especially if you have an early morning flight . Arrive at the airport the day before stay in one the night before and you are ready to go the next day. No more waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning for a mad dash to airport. I think all airports should have hotels in them.

It’s a great Japanese Styled compact room in the South terminal easily missed but a high quality and very functional hotel.
My wife and I stayed here before flying in 2018 and couldn't fault it at all. The soundproofing is astonishing given how close it is to the runways.

What a great idea to have the hotel in the airport, gets rid of all the stress of getting to the airport, love it and glad its sound proofed !
We did it before our first big holiday to Florida with my partner. We wanted to extend our trip. Was so lovely getting food in the airport in the evening, getting a good night sleep then easily strolling to the gate in the morning.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. Once in a windowless room (before my flight to florida), and one in a corner suite where the walls were all windows (straight after my wedding as we were flying to honeymoon the next morning). Both times were fantastic stays and really enjoyed my stays. I would stay here again.

Every year me and my mum travel to Kent to go to the big cat sanctuary and we always have to drive in the direction of Gatwick it is soooo busy!!
The hotel is like a mini beamish for pan am and the 60’s it’s beautifuly done
What would be really useful at Hotels if they allowed is for you to show accessible rooms and do they have any Changing Rooms Accessible Toilets.

I've stayed in this hotel before, and a similar full-service hotel in a New Zealand airport terminal. My favorite thing to do for those early morning flights: check-in, drop your bags then head back to your room to relax for another hour before security!

As a kid, I loved watching the runways and seeing all the little utility vehicles etc doing their thing.
I know Bloc as a sunglasses brand, guess they branched out 😂, also like the space in the room by the window as it means you can store all your stuff out of sight and away from main part of room.
I stayed in the easy hotel in the Gatwick basement a while back and loved having access to all the restaurants and bars and then already being in the terminal for my flight. This looks like a step up and the sound proofing is amazing!
I stayed here back in Nov. I booked a day room because I landed from JFK at 6am. I checked out at 3pm and headed into the city well rested.
I really really love the design of the room they made use of every inch of it it is just fantastic the lighting the mirrors the bathroom the comfy bed the whole thing is just great
Definitely going to stay here next time I fly from Gatwick, rather than spending 3 hours travelling there in the morning. It looks lovely 😍

It's the old north road office block. Used to be full of airline and airport offices.
What a difference
We stayed at bloc when we had an early flight from Gatwick. Really good bed and a really good sleep. We didnt take the optional upgrade of a window, that was £5 more! It's like staying in a spaceship.

Also if you like this place check out the aerotel in LHR T3, really comfy and very soundproof! Bit pricey don't get me wrong but for what you get its brilliant!

We have stayed overnight before at bloc , but next time we are staying 6 hours through the day after a transatlantic overnight flight with a long wait for our next flight , it’s just over £60 , perfect for a sleep and shower
Astonishing prices. I base every hotel on the £14pppn b&b that I stayed at at Hastings in 1992 so this comes in at ten times that amount :(
It looks very beautiful and it is good it’s in a terminal building. No faffing around just head out and your there.

OMG Tim ! We recently stayed there in the same room ( I booked about 2 months in advance and paid £85 ). I Sweet talked the " lovely " reception staff to upgrade us to that corner room overlooking the runway and it so cool watching the planes take off while enjoying a glass or two of wine. I would not recommend being tipsy with all the mirrors about giving you the optical illusion the room is bigger, if your as stupid as me you will walk into something, and not a great fan of the bed being so enclosed, but overall the stay was worth every penny to just walk downstairs to catch your flight. The wet room took some getting use to and the coffee room on the 7th ( or 5th ? ) floor was a bit basic. You also get a Free Fast Track Security, which was a nice touch. You are also entitled to a discount in one of the restaurant/bars downstairs. Just ask reception and they will give you the card. Clean/Reasonable price/and lovely staff.

The old Attaturk airport had a hotel inside the airport building.
I stayed in the Yotel at Gatwick Airport about 10 years ago, but this new place looks like a better option.

Its a lovely hotel, I stayed in that room, 846 at the end of February. I requested it simply because of its views! Only difference is at 6:41 there is now a desk there with a Nespresso coffee machine.

Great video Tim. Another hi-tech hotel (well for me and my tech knowledge it is!!) For me the best thing about the room was the view, could of spent all evening looking out the window. The corridors looked narrow, maybe it was the dark decor? Looking forward to your next video 👍
They are a bit but yes the dark wood makes it look worse

Really good video Tim. Would consider staying there if ever back in the UK. I have stayed in a hotel inside Singapore Airport and its a really good set up. Have great runway views as well.

Nice hotel, perfect for nervous traveller who want to be in time at the airport, or if flight is cancelled etc.
You said....... "it's not very often you can stay in a hotel in the terminal building itself" INCORRECT.... almost all major internatonal airports have hotels air side. Airports like Luton and Stanstead obviously don't, because they mainly cater for budget airlines (which are point to point airlines) with almost no connecting flights.

My Dad and I were going for a holiday to Spain and he said he booked this hotel so that it wasn’t quite a long day of flying. I was excited I was reading all the reviews and photos!
Little did I know this wasn’t the hotel he booked. The real hotel was a crummy Holiday Inn about 10 miles down the road just off a busy roundabout. I was so disappointed
