Haha, it was. and thank you! And no, they don't have lockers. but there are a bunch of after-market ones available. And also, there have been a few "Special edition" ones, that had lockers installed from factory. Thanks for watching!
Well, it's the biggest (And heaviest) truck we have at the moment. So if we did manage to get it Really stuck. we would probably have to call in some help. (Like a big tractor, from one of the local farmers) Thanks for watching!
Is it stuck because the tires are clogged up or the 4 cylinder doesn't have the guts to pull the vehicle out? Seems like they got the dimensions right on these just needed an inline 6 and couple inches of lift. A v6 would really make this thing sweet but kind of takes away the simplicity aspect.
Well, right here it was just getting stuck because of the wheels clogging up, and things being really slippery. The engine usually has sufficient power for it. but it's definitely not a "Power-House" But, another advantage of the engine is that it's all aluminium. so it's fairly light. Now that you mention it, i actually think that a V6 would fit nicely in it :) But yeah, it would make things more "complicated" and also add a good bit of weight. Thanks for watching!
great video as usual, one question the UAZ are the tires old new military surplus and possibly dried out just curious a friend of mine bought some surplus tires at an auction the were spares never used new 10 or 12 yrs old and weren't worth the money after having to have them mounted because of the size and weight of them and ended up having to get new ones less than a year later, they wouldn't hold air and does the UAZ com equipped with lockers
Thanks a lot! The tires on this one don't have a Date Code. so i can't tell exactly how old they are. (But not old enough to be marked "CCCP" like others i have seen) but i'm guessing they are 10+/- years old. They are not dried out, and look fine, really. But they are indeed heavy. and also slightly stiff. and they are tube-tires. so they will always need an inner tube. that's also why they are thick and heavy. And no, the UAZ dose not have lockers. There are a bunch of after-market options available though. Thanks for watching!
Look at 1 front wheel spinning and the other wheel not moving at all: it needs some good diff locks. Otherwise cool car! My condolences on the return of the C19-Monster, I saw Denmark as a beacon of hope, but that turned out to be a Fata Morgana. ☹ How's the 'Mog getting along?
Some "lockers" do indeed make a massive difference. i have put a rear locker in my other UAZ 469. And yes. thankfully, the whole C19 thing, haven't had much of an impact on my life. hopefully, it won't this time around, either. And the Mog is coming along nicely. there will be another video up, fairly soon. Thanks for watching!
Уазик старый , педали ещё в полу. Проходимость на родной пятаковой резине очень хорошая. Буханка гораздо хуже по проходимости. Откуда в Дании козлы и буханки?

@@KJOff-Road well strange, anywyas what i said was since you are into saving cars/truck beyond repairs may i ask for your opinion on what my car with an VM 425 engine has? it is leaking from a headgasket that i know but the termperature dont go above the normal, it has very low compression on the 3rd and 4th cylinder as well, it idles poorly when its cold but gets much more stable when engine is warm, you can see 2 videos of it on my channel it may give you some tips seing the car working.
@@LogitechXibanga Well, i don't have any personal experience, on that particular type of engine. But judging from the smoke, it's burning a bit of oil, and not burning all the fuel. It really could be a number of things. but if you also have unusually low compression on a few cylinders, my guesses would be- head-gasket, cracked cylinder head, cracked cylinders/block. cracked pistons, broken (or really badly worn) piston rings.
back in 19993-1995 I use to serve in Russian Army in Astrakhan region, 60km east from Kapustin-Yar, since then I'm still in love with UAZ.
Looks like the Uaz would greatly benefit from the addition of locking differentials.
It really would.
I have put a rear locker in, in my other UAZ. and that alone helps a ton.
Thanks for watching!
Haha, I love it how he pulled it out and then went straight back in.
The UAZ was impressively nimble. That said the MAN is more my kind of off road rig.
This looks like so much fun!!!
It was. I cut out all the parts where we were laughing like kids. XD

UAZ 469 LENGENDARY...
All right you pretty much turned the wheels into chocolate donuts
Well once you get into that soupy squishy stuff even an American Jeep would have a tough time with that
Cool, that mud looks as slick as donkey snot! thanks for uploading! I thought UAZ had diff locks?

469 в стандарте отличная машина, проходимая, надежная

@@KJOff-Road hope you won't ever have to test this! Thanks for your reply. Really enjoy your videos.
Maybe the Unimog 416
That's Soviet Jeep does a lot better than I thought it would do it's actually handling everything you're throwing at it
Yeah, for what it is, they are really surprisingly capable, offroaders.
Если б ещё была блокировка дифференциала, то проходимость была б в разы выше
