    The cheapies simply blast high output light blinding oncoming drivers, which is why DOT has guidelines. . This company does a good job with headlights, as this video illustrates. It's different if you are running a combine in a cornfield.

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True - the benefits are most noticeable at speed, while driving on or off-road. However, even in the field it's worth considering how much light is shining on the actual field, vs up into the sky where it is wasted. It may be helpful to shine that light in a very wide pattern to illuminate the whole field, rather than wasting it up or down. Of course, not as critical as racing, but seeing what you need to always makes the job easier.

      Not only that, but DD has some of the best thermal regulation out there. While some may be “brighter” on initial startup, some will drop up to 50% initial output in just 30min. This is especially helpful for something like fog lights that are usually tucked inside the bumper with very little airflow.

    I'm from Poland and I'm wondering how to modify the lenses (probably TIR) in the headlights, e.g. Ford Fusion full LED 2018, so that the low beam glows asymmetrically (EU regulations). It seems to me that the grooved plane visible in their lens would need to be modified. You have an idea?

    Do the molded connector meet USCAR-2?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! Assuming you are asking about the bulkhead connector used on the Stage Series pods - this connector has not been tested to USCAR2 standards due to the lack of specific customer requirements, but we believe it would meet this standard if needed, probably with classification of T3 / S3 / V3. Please feel free to email us with any additional questions!

      @@diodedynamics Ah thanks. I have been been looking at custom making an integrated light for my bicycle but am struggling to decide on my optics. I am looking at using an emitter such as the SST 40 or XHP70. Any suggestions or products you make that would give bright throw/flood that can run off an 18650 3,7 cell?
