  • In 2006 passenger ferry #QueenoftheNorth ran aground and sank off the coast of BC. People of the Gitga’at First Nation in Hartley Bay heard the distress call and rushed to the scene to bring survivors to safety. This is their story.

My daughter and grandson were on that boat. I will forever be grateful to the Gitga'at people that brought my kids safely to shore that night.

Hopefully in the future there are very powerful boats🛳⛴🛥 that won't sink so easily😀.
