Do you ever have the problem of the top brood becoming hopelessly queenless? And if so how do you address it and at what time ? Great video... i liked and subscribed from this video alone .. i plan on and going to be trying this method , but im unsure of how and what would make the top brood from becoming hoplessly queenless
    Thanks!

Question: could you take the one brood box with the queen cells in it and move it off to start a new hive let them continue to make a new queen . ?

Do you provide top entrance for the drones to get out since they can’t get through the excluder?

If all you have is drawn comb available for the queen box, is there a questimation of how long she'd take to fill it up enough that a second Demaree might be needed, do to overcrowding down low? Or just remove the excluder going into Summer? Ohio.

Depends on the queen and how much longer the flow is expected I would say 3-4 weeks.

@@BeekeepingwithTheBeeWhisperer So does seem objective. Granted, this is 100 year old tech.

So when do you take the queen excluder off? After that medium above it is filled with honey?

I won't be able to try this. My brood boxes (frames) have one or all three, medication, mite treatments, and sugar syrup. Just doesn't sound like good honey to me on brood comb.

Fortunately I do not currently or in the past used medications and the mite treatments I use are safe for Honey harvest....you do want to keep track of where any sugar laden brood combs go.

As I remember Demaree Method uses two queen excluders, doesn't it? th-cam.com/video/mQ6CE8nCbHQ/w-d-xo.html
