its so easy to calculate 10% 20 % 5% discounts
step 1: you just remove one digit from the price.
step 2: if its 20% multiply by 2, if its 5% divide by 2
step3: deduct the amount from step 2 from the original price
For eg: if the price of item is 1299 before 20 % discount then
step 1: 129
step 2: 129X2=258
step 3: 1299--258=1041
I just multiply it by the remaining percentage to get the final value:
10% on a rs.100 product
= 100 x 0.9 (90%)
= 90 sale price.
3% on rs.250
= 250 x 0.97 (97%)
= 242.5
