I normally wouldn’t watch a video this long.. but there’s something about listening to Valerie tell her story.. she just seems so real/genuine.. she just seems so laid back and cool. Hearing about her mom and her son and the kidnapping just breaks my heart.
Until she received REAL long term rehab that is outside of Florida away from influences and that focuses on her PTSD she barely stands a chance. Listening to her story, hearing about trauma after trauma after trauma really broke my heart. At TWELVE her stepfather (mother’s boyfriend but acting in that scope) gets her hooked on pills, starts chi-mo’ing her, SA’s her as a bribe to keep her from getting d0pesick. Then Her mother’s cancer was preventable had she had health insurance (or not but then she would have been in debt) and dies from cancer. She loses her house, from the proceeds that her mother left via life insurance, which cost her her life (didn’t want to go to the doctor until she had life insurance in place so she wouldn’t be denied - now it was for nothing!), then she is ABDUCTED and SA and trafficked, her child was falsely removed from her care. Every. single. Thing. Any of those trauma’s alone would break someone. If she comes into money again, which it sounds like she is about to, I hope she invests in herself via long term therapeutic recovery. I like her, she is smart And if she truly cleans up she can go far. She is only 28 and has her whole life ahead of her.
This interview. Was absolutely amazing. I cannot believe just how strong the grip of opiates is. And I thank goodness that opiates were not my drug of choice back in the day. I grew up in the area where the streets were just flooded. And I had many friends back in West Virginia that were hooked. I wish her the best, because she is clearly very smart and talented, and could be very successful if she can escape the evil clutches of those opiates
Both her and her mom troubles stem from trusting the wrong person.... The more I listen to all these people's story the more I come to not judging any of them. We are all one Bad decision, one lace drink, 1 lace smoke, and 1 lace candy away from being an addic.
💯. This comment says a LOT. You can see in her story how she’s descended into this, and most of it is from other people who should have known better, given she was so young. This is a shocking story, and she tells it very well. A very likeable, capable young lady. I’ll pray for her. I know this is a year later, so I’m hoping she’s still here with us.
A pleasure? You are one sick mo' fo'. Bad choice of word at best. I am glad you got your jollies off listening to her tell the story of her tragic, heart breaking descent into full blown drug addiction. If you really want to feel "pleasure" maybe you should try smoking some tranq. fent. dope.
Another case of a childs life shaped by trauma, abuse, and pparental dysfunction. Valerie is likeable, intelligent. She also has a sense of humor but she is realistic also. It is difficult to know what to say to her.
Shes a smart insightful girl. Exactly right when she sats the using of the needle is another level of experiencing the H. No way back to snorting or smoking. Good luck sweetie ❤
Ironic to her statement and now yours, she is back to smoking it and hasn't administered her dose intravenously for five months or more (at time of this video).;
Do you even know anything about addiction? My Daughter just died 16 months ago from Fentanyl overdose. She battled addiction for 7 years. She went to impatient medical detox for Alcohol in 2015...I watched my Daughter nearly from withdrawal multiple times....I would have to go buy her a pint so she would stop shaking. Heroin and Opiate addicts can die from withdrawal as well so You can't just rip the drugs away from an addict when it comes to Alcohol or Opiate A Even Benzos. Drugs make the body create or stop making Certain natural Chemicals so when you take alcohol away the person can and will die from Having a Seizure which is caused form the body making alot of Adrenaline to counteract the sedative affect of alcohol so when there is nothing to Suppress all that adrenaline the body has made to compensate for the alcohol use to keep the person breathing. So you can trust STOP drugs. The person can die and they know it. Unless the person can taper off slowly or go to medical detox where they get Medicine to help with Withdrawals it's nearly physically impossible to stop.
@@whendis.roberts9903f you and your f'd up perspective. You lost your own daughter and you still don't get it. Had you been a bit more empathetic who knows? That level of support might have changed the outcome.
John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 10:9 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
She couldn’t have been clean when she gave birth they arent just going to take her child over a phone call. They will verify that! Then they even put the baby on withdraw medicine 🥺
We have a very strict protocol for measuring withdrawal symptoms in neonates. And we don’t medicate until they score high enough. She had to be using during pregnancy if her son was given morphine.
I was just thinking this. Like there’s no way they just started giving a newborn morphine. Like she seems like a nice girl and all but cappp. That part has to be bogus. If I’m clean and I know it, I’m demanding they test me , test baby! Like prove I’m not clean before taking my baby🗣

Very nice style of interviewing, no long questions, no interruptions, no virtual list of quick-fire questions to get through.

Her story is so depressing 😢, especially the story about her mother...
I am praying for you Valerie. Don’t give up. You have come so far. 🙏🏿♥️

It it. It looks like this interview was over a year ago. Is there anyway you could do a follow up with her?
Don’t give up ❤

Pleasure to have listened to her story; I hope she will thrive mentally and financially.

She was smoking weed every time she relapsed, yet she thinks she can smoke weed and not relapse. 🤔

She is 28 that's mad im 40 still don't look like that
She looks disgusting from doing drugs so gross
Yeah, sure you look much younger than 40😂😂😂
She looks fine for the lifestyle she is living. I can imagine how much younger she looks when sober.
Poor baby, dommed, no matter.
