I am having an error my computer is showing black screen in video I can hear the sound and when I export the video is also viewable with another player but not virb I don't know why and I can see the bottom thing video editing Luke trim and all stuff it's also black so I can't make the the use of g matrix and I have to tell you I don't why what happen I tried to reinstall the virb edit and reset my whole pc I lost my data doing that but none of it fixed my problem can you help me.
This does not help to sync the clip still? Tried but not working. My gmetrix ist still 5s infront of my video and if i try to sync in the gmetrix tab its moving 10seconds at a time. Really annoying.. Cant get it to move less than 10s :(
i sync using the lap time sound in the video, so i stop video in the sound cue and then move map slider to match starting lap
Again? I don't understand.
@@Frankenpedaleur Hello, when i start the video i hit the lap button in my Garmin Edge 530, then i import the Fit file to Virb Edit, then during edition in the sync process i forward the video until i hear the lap sound, stop the video and then move the map slider until the correct timing of the lap start, previously i need to add all the time before that lap time to have the total time since the Edge started before the video start, below is the sequence that i follow:
Turn on the Edge, wait until GPS and sensors are ok.
Hit the start button in Edge
Start my warning lap in the course that i am going to take video, takes about 20min.
After warming lap, i install the camera in the bike.
Pedal to start of the course
Start the video, wait about 10sec
Start the lap in the Edge computer, lap sound in recorded in video
Do my video lap
Finish video lap and stop the video
Then i do a cool down lap
Stop edge computer.
So Fit file will have about 65min of running time
Video is only about 20min
So after Fit import and in sync process, i need to move video until lap sound in the left screen, then in the map screen i move the slider until the correct time, for this case is around 25min (20min warming lap, 5min camera installation and pedal to course start) the exact timing is in the Edge lap details of that ride.
The good thing about this method is that you have the sound of the lap starting in the video.
Hope i explain properly my sync process.
Hey Bro. Has there been an update on Virb Edit since you did this video?
Garmin will not update Virb Edit, which is a discontinued software for them.
1/6/24. I imported a .FIT file , but don't even see the google map data at all. Any ideas to display the map?
Same problem here
I have the same issue. The script errors cause a blank white screen whenever I try to see the map so I can’t even attempt to sync my metrics.
@@D_Fi911 yup. same. and i'm on Mac so i can't do any of the script error hacks I've seen
@@mstrasser I’m debating if I should just pay this one time fee for this program I found online.
@@D_Fi911 what's the program's name? i started a trial on "Telemetry Tool" but i didn't like the UX so that's a no go. I'd pay too if there was a clean, easy program
So the band-aid sudo-solution for me as of Oct 13, 2023 (since the prior workaround doesn't seem to work anymore):
1. Import the continuous gopro video segments.
2. Add same fit data to each video segment along with your gauge template. Click yes to all script error prompts.
3. Use g-matrix for 1st video segment. In the g-matrix adjustment screen, do not change the left side gopro video starting point (leave it as is which is at the beginning of the video segment). Only adjust the right side fit data slider to match the beginning of the video. This will set the *baseline additive amount of time value* for all of the subsequent video segments, so you'll want to verify and make sure it matches as close as possible. (Mine turned out to be 1:27 [1 min 27 sec] for the 1st segment.)
4. SUBTRACT 10 seconds from your *baseline additive amount of time value*. (So from my example, I take 1:27 and subtract 10 seconds, and value becomes 1:17)
5. Next, you'll see that each subsequent gopro video segment has a starting time in VIRB timeline. Mine was showing 11:47, 23:35, 35:23, 47:10, etc.
6. For each of these subsequent gopro video segments, edit g-matrix, add the value from step 4 (1:17) to each of the starting time and adjust only the right side fit data slider. (So my 2nd video segment would be adjusted to 13:04) [to be clear: 11:47 + 1:17 = 13:04]. My 3rd video segment would be adjusted to 24:02 [23:35 + 1:17 = 24:52], etc.
7. As you perform step 6, you might find that you can't adjust the slide to exact calculated value, since you can't use the arrows and have to rely on the slider. In this case, do your best to adjust to the closest number you can set to the calculated value (best fit seems to be just a little higher than the calculated value).
Good luck.
I don't even get a map or slider to show up when I click G-metric sync. Are we all just screwed now?
No entiendo, como es la solución?
Que tal, puedes leer lo que contesté arriba, me dices si quedaron dudas.
