Juz 30(Part 2). • All makkan surah if not specially mentioned. Surah Al-Fajr (The Dawn). • Allah takes an oath by the dawn. • The ten sacred nights of Ramadan. • Destruction of the previous nations. • The mentality of man while blessed or punished. • Events on the Day of Judgment. • The real life.v.24. He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." • Paradise. Surah Al-Balad (The City). • Double oath.V.1. I swear by this city [i.e., Makkah] • Creation of man. • Difficult path.v.13.It is the freeing of a slave, 14. Or feeding on a day of severe hunger 15. An orphan of near relationship 16. Or a needy person in misery. Surah Shams(The sun). • Over 10 oaths.v.1-7. • V.9. He has succeeded who purifies it, • V.10. And he has failed who instills it [with corruption]. • Destruction of the wrongdoing people. • V.15. And He does not fear the consequence thereof. Surah Al-Layl (The Night). • V.4. Indeed, your efforts are diverse. • V.5. As for he who gives and fears Allah • V.6. And believes in the best [reward], • V.7. We will ease him toward ease. • V.8. But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need • V.9. And denies the best [reward], • V.10. We will ease him toward difficulty. Surah Ad-Dhuha (The Morning Hours). • V.4 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. • Look at the positive aspect of life. • If you can’t give money to a needy, give a good word. Surah Ash-Sharh (The Consolation). • With every difficulty there will be ease. 5. For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief]. • v.7. So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. Surah At-Tin (The Fig). • V.1. By the fig and the olive (Jesus). • 2. And [by] Mount Sinai (Moses). • 3. And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah], • Allah the best of judges. Surah Al-Alaq (The Clot). • The first revelation. • 1. Recite in the name of your Lord who created • He taught man the use of pen. • Two types of knowledge. • The knowledge of Allah. • The knowledge of this world (Science, history). • Knowledge-Action-Spirituality. • Later mentions on Abu jahl. Surah Al-Qadr (The power,Fate). • A night better than 1000 months. • Comes with the qadr of Allah. Surah Bayyinah (The Evidence). • Madani surah. • The clear proof. • Rewards and punishment for those who believe and disbelieve. Surah Az-Zalzalah (The Earthquake). • The final earthquake. • Day of Judgment. • V.6. That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. • 7. So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, • 8. And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. • Never trivialize any sin or good deed. Surah Al-Adiyath (The Chargers). • Allah takes oath by the galloping of horse. • The language of the Quran is mesmerizing. • 6. Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. • 8. And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. • 11. Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. Surah Al-Qari’ah (The Calamity). • 1. The Striking Calamity - • 2. What is the Striking Calamity? • 3. And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? • 4. It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, Surah At-Takathur (Competition). • 1. Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you • 2. Until you visit the graveyards • 8. Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure Surah Al-Asr (The Declining Day,Epoch). • 1. By time, • 2. Indeed, mankind is in loss, • 3. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. Surah Al-Humazah (The Traducer). • 1. Woe to every scorner and mocker • 2. Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. • 3. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. • 4. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. Surah Al-Fil (The Elephatnt). • Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant. • The lord who have done this is worthy of worship. Surah Al-Quraish. • The honor and reputation Allah had given them as guardians of the Holy Kabah, which allowed them to travel without fear of being harmed. • The trading caravans that traveled south in winter and north in summer. Surah Al-Ma’un (Almsgiving). • The small assistance. • V.1. Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense? • He drives away the orphan and does not encourage feeding the poo. • 5. [But] who are heedless of their prayer. Surah Al-Kawthar (Abundance). • Allah comforts the prophet ﷺ at his son’s death. • 1. Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar. • 2. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]. • 3. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off. Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelivers). • The quraish agreed to worship Allah if Muslims worship false gods. Surah An-Nasr (Devine Support). • Allah indicate the death of prophet ﷺ. • V.1. When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest. Surah Al-Masad (The Palm Fibre). • Allah mention the name of Abu Lahab due to his evil nature. • His wife and their punishments in the hereafter. Surah Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity). • One third of Quran. • Refute trinity, idolatry, atheism, polytheism. • Affirms Monotheism in a unique Eloquence. • As-samad. The one to whom all creations turn in need. • 4. Nor is there to Him any equivalent." • The love to this surah cased a sahabi to enter jannah. Surah Al-Falaq. • Madani surah. • This and the following surah were revealed together and are recited when seeking Allah’s protection from all kinds of evil. Surah An-Nas. • Madani surah. • Protection from evil. *Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah, we have come to the end of this beautiful month. Eid Mubarak to all* *Unending glory to Allah, The Exalted, Who granted me the primary inspira-tion and stamina all along to complete this humble work. This small contribution, is only a drop of appreciation for His Ocean of munificence*. *I am greatly thankful to Sheikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi, resident scholar at EPIC masjid. May Allah preserve him for the generations to come and bless him with all goodness. Also the members of EPIC masjid for making this possible. I can not emphasize enough how much this series has benefitted me. I am in tears thinking that there wont be an episode to look forward tomorrow. I initially thought this ramadan might be weird as we are neglected from the mosques, but indeed Allah has made it to one the the best ramadans. He is Qulli shai in qadeer. And this series had a big role to play in that. I want to thank Sk Yasir, Qari Sajjad and entire EPIC team. Cant wait for the basic tafsir series.
Qulli shai in qadeer means Allah possesses power over all things. He has control over everything. We thought this ramadan would be bleak and he turned it into a very blessed one. Juz 30(Part 2).
• All makkan surah if not specially mentioned.
Surah Al-Fajr (The Dawn).
• Allah takes an oath by the dawn.
• The ten sacred nights of Ramadan.
• Destruction of the previous nations.
• The mentality of man while blessed or punished.
• Events on the Day of Judgment.
• The real life.v.24. He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
• Paradise.
Surah Al-Balad (The City).
• Double oath.V.1. I swear by this city [i.e., Makkah]
• Creation of man.
• Difficult path.v.13.It is the freeing of a slave, 14. Or feeding on a day of severe hunger 15. An orphan of near relationship 16. Or a needy person in misery.
Surah Shams(The sun).
• Over 10 oaths.v.1-7.
• V.9. He has succeeded who purifies it,
• V.10. And he has failed who instills it [with corruption].
• Destruction of the wrongdoing people.
• V.15. And He does not fear the consequence thereof.
Surah Al-Layl (The Night).
• V.4. Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
• V.5. As for he who gives and fears Allah
• V.6. And believes in the best [reward],
• V.7. We will ease him toward ease.
• V.8. But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
• V.9. And denies the best [reward],
• V.10. We will ease him toward difficulty.
Surah Ad-Dhuha (The Morning Hours).
• V.4 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
• Look at the positive aspect of life.
• If you can’t give money to a needy, give a good word.
Surah Ash-Sharh (The Consolation).
• With every difficulty there will be ease. 5. For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].
• v.7. So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
Surah At-Tin (The Fig).
• V.1. By the fig and the olive (Jesus).
• 2. And [by] Mount Sinai (Moses).
• 3. And [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],
• Allah the best of judges.
Surah Al-Alaq (The Clot).
• The first revelation.
• 1. Recite in the name of your Lord who created
• He taught man the use of pen.
• Two types of knowledge.
• The knowledge of Allah.
• The knowledge of this world (Science, history).
• Knowledge-Action-Spirituality.
• Later mentions on Abu jahl.
Surah Al-Qadr (The power,Fate).
• A night better than 1000 months.
• Comes with the qadr of Allah.
Surah Bayyinah (The Evidence).
• Madani surah.
• The clear proof.
• Rewards and punishment for those who believe and disbelieve.
Surah Az-Zalzalah (The Earthquake).
• The final earthquake.
• Day of Judgment.
• V.6. That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
• 7. So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,
• 8. And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
• Never trivialize any sin or good deed.
Surah Al-Adiyath (The Chargers).
• Allah takes oath by the galloping of horse.
• The language of the Quran is mesmerizing.
• 6. Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
• 8. And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
• 11. Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.
Surah Al-Qari’ah (The Calamity).
• 1. The Striking Calamity -
• 2. What is the Striking Calamity?
• 3. And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
• 4. It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
Surah At-Takathur (Competition).
• 1. Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
• 2. Until you visit the graveyards
• 8. Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure
Surah Al-Asr (The Declining Day,Epoch).
• 1. By time,
• 2. Indeed, mankind is in loss,
• 3. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
Surah Al-Humazah (The Traducer).
• 1. Woe to every scorner and mocker
• 2. Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
• 3. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
• 4. No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher.
Surah Al-Fil (The Elephatnt).
• Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant.
• The lord who have done this is worthy of worship.
Surah Al-Quraish.
• The honor and reputation Allah had given them as guardians of the Holy Kabah, which allowed them to travel without fear of being harmed.
• The trading caravans that traveled south in winter and north in summer.
Surah Al-Ma’un (Almsgiving).
• The small assistance.
• V.1. Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?
• He drives away the orphan and does not encourage feeding the poo.
• 5. [But] who are heedless of their prayer.
Surah Al-Kawthar (Abundance).
• Allah comforts the prophet ﷺ at his son’s death.
• 1. Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.
• 2. So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
• 3. Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.
Surah Al-Kafirun (The Disbelivers).
• The quraish agreed to worship Allah if Muslims worship false gods.
Surah An-Nasr (Devine Support).
• Allah indicate the death of prophet ﷺ.
• V.1. When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest.
Surah Al-Masad (The Palm Fibre).
• Allah mention the name of Abu Lahab due to his evil nature.
• His wife and their punishments in the hereafter.
Surah Al-Ikhlas (Sincerity).
• One third of Quran.
• Refute trinity, idolatry, atheism, polytheism.
• Affirms Monotheism in a unique Eloquence.
• As-samad. The one to whom all creations turn in need.
• 4. Nor is there to Him any equivalent."
• The love to this surah cased a sahabi to enter jannah.
Surah Al-Falaq.
• Madani surah.
• This and the following surah were revealed together and are recited when seeking Allah’s protection from all kinds of evil.
Surah An-Nas.
• Madani surah.
• Protection from evil.

I can not emphasize enough how much this series has benefitted me. I am in tears thinking that there wont be an episode to look forward tomorrow. I initially thought this ramadan might be weird as we are neglected from the mosques, but indeed Allah has made it to one the the best ramadans. He is Qulli shai in qadeer. And this series had a big role to play in that. I want to thank Sk Yasir, Qari Sajjad and entire EPIC team. Cant wait for the basic tafsir series.
Qulli shai in qadeer means Allah possesses power over all things. He has control over everything. We thought this ramadan would be bleak and he turned it into a very blessed one. Jazakullah Brother Yasir...this May be a birds eye view of the Quran but it was exactly what I needed to understand what the Quran says. Don't farewell Ramadan, rather live by lesson you learnt from it. Fasting and prayer doesn't end. The Quran and Masajid should not be abandoned.
Indeed the Lockdown has unlocked us to the beauty of the Quran. Allah is Greatest. JazakAllah Sk YQ, Qari Sajjad and everyone related to EPIC. Would love to visit some day. Pls make basic and detailed Tafsir for us to benefit.
