Excellent video. I accidentally threw out a handset but have now been able to register a handset from another set of phones. Very happy.
I bought a used handset to replace a cracked one. These instructions did the trick to register the replacement. Thank you for your tutorial.
If after following this procedure and you still get the Error Message "Registration Failed" on the phone. An alternate way to pair the Uniden DECT Cordless phone is to hold the FIND or FIND HS button on the main base for about 10 seconds, and then press the # Key on the Phone until the phone handset indicates "Registered". This Alternate Method worked for my Uniden DECT cordless phone. #GoodLuck 👍
Thank you.🙏. I just helped an elderly lady after watching your video.
Well done. I had two buy some good second hand handsets after dropping both originals. I deregistered those and following your instructions registered the new ones. Thanks much! Darren.
I tried many different methods prior to watching this video. This is the one that worked. Thanks so much. I was ready to toss the phones.
Great to hear!
Thank you. Loved your clear instructions. This was very helpful to pair the extta handsets from my late parents system. Now paired and hubby said he finally just found the instructions in the manual he had downloaded but your video got him there quicker (especially when he now knows what to look for).
After watching multiple videos on how to register a phone to a different base, this one worked!
Old video but great teacher..my parents still using...had to replace batteries...jay new zealand
Good Man! Calm and smooth explanation. Good thing about Uniden is their system is literally identical across all their menus. A little translation but worked great on my XDECT 8355. Cheers from across the ditch
Instruction in the box was useless - this was Excellent!
Excellent tutorial. I was missing the base selection part to get it to work for a replacement phone. After the base select, everything work perfectly. Thank you
This process still works for XDECT 355 handset. Thanks for vid.
Thank you for clear directions. I was able to pair my phone to the existing system,.
Glad it helped!
Fantastic, phone now works. Thank you.
Thanks great tut, solved my issue and easy to follow along.
This vid is just a little late for me, (but all OK now -- I got instructions a month or so ago from Blulink NZ Auckland branch). I have had a 1735+1 set which works fine, but now, following converting to a Fibre connection for internet and phone, need 2 additional handsets through the house. I then bought a 1715+1 (for what was to be 2 extension handpieces), thinking because it was cheaper than 2 units of 1715 handsets, that it would be a better buy. Anyhow, the long and short of it was I needed to deregister the 1715 handsets, and then register them on the 1735 base cradle (without plugging a phone line into the nominal base of the new 1715 - just leaving that connection completely out of things - the base for 1715 also works as an ordinary charging cradle). The now 1735+3 works beautifully. Thanks to the technician who so ably gave good telephone assistance.
Hi Alan
I am glad we were able to help you over the phone!
If anyone reads this and needs an extra phone for the DECT1735 it is easiest and cheapiest to buy the DECT1705. You don't need to do the steps mentioned in the video, all you have to do is sit the extar phone on the main base to pair it up. The DECT1735 can take up to 6 handsets total.
thanks a lot, my main headset is screen damaged and yet i was able to register it thanks to your instructions.
Worked a treat to register 1705 handsets on a 1735 Base station
Thanks! Very clear. Well done. Works on DECT1480 handset (my model number is on a sticker under the battery).
Thank so much for your help this video 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Did this and then placed on base...registration failed...

How to turn off private call mode
Can you help mine comes up with registration failed.
I would try these steps after deregistering the phone:
1. Take the battery out of the handset and put it back in. Then try and pair it on the main base.
2. Make sure to sit the handset on the main base, not the accessory base. That will make the phone not register.
3. The alternate way to pair up the phones is to hold the FIND or FIND HS button on the main base for about 10 seconds, and then press the # key untill the handset says regitsering.
@@blulinkltd8929 ok thanks I’m going to try them now😀
@@blulinkltd8929 have the issue of not registering. Tried everything you suggest
I almost gave up.
I found on my base phone menu: "Register Accy." I had to play with the timing on having both the handset and the base phone searching for each other. Not sure what worked, but the third try was charmed.
yo tengo uno pero no sé escucha al entrar las llamadas alguien qe pueda ayudsr
I tried all that....all good until the handset said: Registration Failed
Mine also now it’s locked in the register mode and buttons have no response tried taking the battery out but for no effect .
Same just now... Fk
