I recently purchased this same spin bike, and purchased both the Garmin cadence sensor and the Garmin speed sensor. However, I cannot seem to get them to work. Are you tracking the metrics inside of Garmin connect? Or a different app? How did you get them to connect?

I used my garmin watch to connect the sensors then upload from watch to garmin connect app. Only the cadence sensor shows up in app for me but i dont think it matters if its in app on a phone because watch is main way i upload activities. I use my watch and have it on indoor bike when I'm using the sensors. Sometimes I have to turn off wifi on phone for it to read,my wifi is weak in my basement with initial connection each day so that hampers connection then once it connects each day ots fine to turn wifi back on phone. .
I did though do a quick gooogle search and it looks like if your not using a garmin watch you can't use the garmin app for the bike sensors. They have it tried to watch usage and not standalone for sensors to app. They want watch as middlee man

@@OnlyEyeAthletics Which Garmin watch do you have? I actually do have a garmin watch as well :) A forerunner 265. The watch will ONLY allow me to connect either the cadence sensor or the speed sensor...not both. Wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I have seen some of the metrics come through the cadence sensor, into the app on my phone, but again, it seems either the cadence sensor works OR the speed sensor, but not both....I don't understand why they would make it this way.

I use a forerunner 945. I also have 2 garmin sensors one on a bike on a trainer and one on my spin bike. I took the spin bike sensors off my app and watch a couple months ago the one from video just because i dont use it during the summer months. I tried to put the spin bike sensors back on I was having a hard time to get it to re-uploadand connect. I saw the green light blink when I opened the battery up and put back on. I actually just replaced 2 weeks ago my batteries on my bike on that on my trainer. So I figured why not replace my spin bike as well.
I will say soon as I did the garmin connect app found it. It did a update that took about 10 mins. It also asked diameter of wheel during process. So ha e some string and tape measure ready to measure wheel diameter. Once the upload finished I used watched. It kicked on a 5 minute upload to sensor from watch. Then it worked. So without being there try replacing batteries even though it may be new who k ows how old battery actually is may lost charge. Amd have good Bluetooth and wifi connectivity. Hope that helps. It was pretty instantaneous found once I changed them out.

Do you need to set wheel size or anything of that nature or does it just automatically calibrate to give proper speed and distance?

Yes you will need to input correct size for it to be accurate.. Mine wasn't hard to find after searching online. The reading was definitly off before putting in the right numbers.

Sounds silly to ask, but where do I enter these wheel size details? I am new to the Garmin ecosystem. I have Garmin Connect installed as well as the Speed and Cadence sensor. Any help would be highly appreciated.
