I feel like she’s just gone. And that’s the saddest part. No afterlife. No limbo. Nothing. All of her life force given to Ghost in a last ditch attempt to save Aki.

@OhGummy if I remember properly there was this scene in one of the endings where naked himeno is shown under a structure made of ghosts hands.
Maybe I'm overtheorizing n that scene could just be symbolic...

So sad how they went out, they were very relatable characters and my personal favorite during that arc. I am just noticing now how the writer grouped them together as they share the same fate. Whereas Denji and Makima still are tied together regardless of Aki liking Makima. Whether it was intentional or not great writing nontheless.

Hey MINDSCAPE, not to brag about this but Aki and Himeno are only my #1 favorite "Chainsaw Man" couple ever known to be a fan favorite, but not only that but also they're the most important couple not to mess with.
Mess with them you're going be choke to death by Himeno's ability of the ghost devil's right arm or going to be crushed by Aki's ability of the curse devil's sword.
Pretty nifty there, huh?
