yeah I pointed that out a long time ago, the damage modeling is seriously lacking. Heck Jane's WWII Fighters had more damage modeling than this.
@@xXmobiusXx1 Il-2 has one of the best damage models found in computer simulations - that it does not excel in every an all parts does not mean that it is seriously lacking.
@@gezurarbeit3097 No it doesn't it uses old hit box tech ( square bounding boxes ) What you are thinking of is wing break physics that where found in B-17 flying fortress for windows 98. IL-2 cliffs of Dover happens to have a better damage model system than BOx. In Cliffs, if flack directly hits your engine, it's gone, blown right off. Massive holes can form in the entire aircraft revealing the frame and inner components, cowl flaps, manifold covers, engine access panels can be blown off, shot off, your prop can spin off. The tail will break in multiple sections, the wings break in multiple sections, engines can take a realistic amount of hit depending on what is shot, engine block should take quite a few rounds, not 1 round with a dice roll. Yeah BOx uses dice roll for component damage similar to Microsoft flight simulator, just more hit boxes.

There’s no ‘weight’ to the planes. They don’t flutter like paper planes when they breakup in real life. They plummet like the proverbial stone! They don’t just daintily flip over and gently caress the ground either, with the cockpit intact like a roll cage. They would be disintegrated into thousands of pieces with the engine(s) buried 10ft down to say the least. Yeah, more weight and BeamNG physics.
They need to make the water crashes better too

I am not gonna lie I feel like these would be cooler if they were a bit more realistic like instead of a bf109 nose diving into a plane it would be cooler to see a more realistic scenario like the bf109 damaging the bomber but also taking some shots itself idk just would be cooler in my opinion

What game is the massive flak barrage from? I've never seen anything so heavy. It looks like a special challenge. I'm guessing 1946 because I don't know much about that one compared to IL-2 BoS.
