Im not gonna lie the start of chai talk started off so strong, with the nice setup and Mama Ji. And then it kinda just took left turn out of nowhere and changed. Im so glad shes back, it finally feels right.
In older generations, there was no concept of compatibility. They had butterflies just because it was a whole new thing for them to interact with the opposite gender and alot of lust was involved. That is why after marriage they are sadly just living with each other. Sadly at the end they just end up like mama jee who is always saying sad stuff about her relationship with papa jee infront of everyone.
Its a sad state of affairs seriously idk what kind of pure mohabbat mama jee is talking about. No offense seriously I don’t intend to disrespect her.

Honestly she is the one carrying the one.
Mama Jee has undoubtedly given her everything to her kids. She’s an incredible mother. However, she might need some sort of therapy to detach from her kids at this point in time. It’s not easy when you’ve done so much and it’s understandable that she has certain expectations but doesn’t mean it’s right in every way.
On the other hand, wajeeh.. you’re being unfair saying that parents travel for themselves. If they did, it wouldn’t be wrong because they’re not ‘just’ parents, there’s more to them. But I can tell you this.. most parents choose kid friendly places. They love seeing the thrill on their children’s faces visiting fun places away from home. Traveling is a learning experience. Children DO remember stuff from when they were 6-8. You don’t but lots of people do. Your mum tried to create core memories. Even if you don’t remember it, can you please acknowledge the effort she went through? Also, traveling with kids is a pain, yet she did it. You know how you said parents slow you down? Kids do too. Young parents give up going to places because it’ll be too much for the kids.
Not saying that you shouldn’t be allowed to travel alone now.. you should. It’s a different experience. But you can just laugh off her efforts. Even tho you’re both laughing you can tell it bothers her.

As a 29 year old but also a mom to a 1 year old, my daughter may not remember anything fun we do right now when she grows up but I will always remember how excited SHE was about different adventures and experiences, how happy and fulfilling it must have felt for her to have more of our time and attention in that moment rather than us being busy with our regular hustle and bustle, and I will always remember how full my mama heart felt to be able to do those things with her and see the joy it brought her ❤❤❤❤

This guys maturity level is super low. Thinking parents travel for themselves with their kids. I would travel for myself on a solo trip with my wife. If kids are involved, we’re travelling to create memories and to see our kids smile.
I disagree!! taking kids traveling is so good for their development overall, it doesn’t matter if they wont remember the whole trip over time.
As a 7-10 year old you will share these cool things with your friends and it makes you more open to other cultures and food and sparks interest to want to travel!

So im just sharing why I think it is important for kids to travel even if they wont remember all the details and parents do travel to make memories with their child and see them experience things for the first time is a magical experience for parents.

Wajih! I am a mom of 2 little boys! We make 10 times more effort to do that international travel every year! It is neither for the kids nor for the parents! It's for the family! Boys love being in a boat, in an airplane, in bus, trains etc etc. In that moment, the kids are so happy and it is a great change for the family! As a kid who went on family vacations you had been much happier than other kids.. don't compare your present adult to yourself as a kid

I try to watch this channel because I’m genuinely interested in the topics and she just triggers the hell out of me🙄 like her mindset, the way she interrupts, the hypocrisy, the double standards, etc pisses me off. Noting against her at all, but the mentality is extremely triggering to me. This reminds me of how insufferable it was trying to express myself growing up and feeling like I’m talking to a wall.

I'm only able to handle how triggering these videos are because I'm lucky enough to have got to a point where seeing her behaviour (all the things you mentioned) makes me just shake my head and laugh. No disrespect to Mama-Jee, but so many immigrant parents have the same emotional immaturity. Honestly, the best thing about these videos (and the shorts on TikTok) are reading the comments from young people who have GOT OUT of these relationships - it really makes me happy to see that.
Love for our generation means finding peace within one another. It may not look passionate to people looking, but peace lasts longer than sparks. :)

I understand when Mama Jee says they didn't have phones so even getting a glimpse of that person would make your whole day whereas now that person can be easily accessed at any time any day through your phone. But I also totally agree with Wajeeh that the 'love' in our parents' generation is messed up! So many stayed just for the sake of their children whereas now there is more knowledge, education, accessible help to enable people to leave relationships especially when there is abuse. It can also be argued that because of this, the divorce rates are up in our generation.

Mama jee I use a service where this amazing woman based in Karachi that does mall runs while FaceTiming me, sends pics of outfits she has at hand, whatever fashion services I need she does at very reasonable prices. I would suggest that to you if you’re struggling choosing an outfit bc she gives multiple options and really caters to you! If not that then I suggest brands like qalamkar, suffuse, Sania maskatiya have beautiful options but on the pricer end.
