My take… Spoilers ahead… this movie is about the way people use their power and positions of status to control others. I think it’s definitely a commentary on religion and politics.

I have a very similar take. I see this a commentary on cults in society and how they brainwash people and how that in turn affects daily living and interpersonal relationships

Thank you for the review! I liked all three parts, and was surprised to hear that people think the last part was the weakest. I was pleasantly surprised by the dark humor and the way the film was able to extract an audible reaction out of the audience during its most shocking moments. Even though I did not like the messaging and delivery in Poor Things I thought Kinds of Kindness was brilliant and is definitely in my top movies of 2024!

So you did a great job with the review!
I told some of the scenes with my dad what happens in this movie and he thought it sounded kind of creepy!
I saw this movie as well!
Going into this blindly having knowing nothing about this movie!
I was thinking of this idea for an episode where the main character’s dog gets stolen by two cult leaders who are naked and the cults supports a tree!
Also I wanna name the episode “the house of the cult”
You can guess what’s that’s a reference to!
Also after the main character kills the man cult leader the woman cult leader eats his heart and turns into a creepy angel to kill our main character!

Great review of a brilliant film. I love Lanthimos' films, they are disturbing and thought-provoking. If you like his films too, then I'd recommend a 2008 Argentinian film "The Headless Woman" directed by Lucrecia Martel.

The algorithm served me this video, and when I read your channel description I immediately subscribed. I think of that quote everytime someone says "and stuff" 😂

Thanks for this great recap. You explained well how the twin thought her sister was the one Emma Stone was looking for. I somehow missed it that back when they were young she should have died by diving into the pool and her sister touched her and brought her back to life. But how did the twin even know Emma was looking for someone? I must have missed that.

I think a lot of details in the last segment will be found on rewatch especially since they don’t really tell you who or why they are looking for this person until later on. Knowing their goals on rewatch would probably clear that up!

Have that same bus shelter poster! Where’d you get the frame?

All my posters are official posters so they are the standard 27”x40” poster frames! I found them on Amazon! A bit expensive but I make it work by rotating my collection for these videos
