As a therapist, thank you for the mention! We often get forgotten when folks talk about first responders. Covid was hard but this period of life has been challenging being a therapist even though I am so passionate about it. And thank you for mentioning the incarcerated fire fighters as well! Hello Handsome folks! Thank you for talking about the LA fires, how it's affecting you and ways you are supporting others. If anyone reading this needs to take a break from, or feels like the coverage they are watching from any of the recent disasters is too much, it's probably too much. Give yourself grace and understanding to watch LESS of what is happening bc if you don't you could develop PTSD. I know this first hand, after all of the 9/11 coverage, not realizing until months later how I was affected. So much warmth, love, kindness & caring to EVERYONE 🤗

I think Weird Al is part of a lot of our childhoods, and that's some of what makes him so beloved. Also, the way he touches on such culturally iconic subjects. He's so recognizable.

Tig! You'll appreciate this...on a university class trip to do field work, all of us decided to moon our professor who was on the other bus...I knew my front seat window was tinted but didn't realize it wasn't as tinted as the ones in the back so when we all dropped our drawers, he only saw my moon! I was mortified but he was super cool about it and it became a long-standing joke in the department and continued even after I was hired to teach there. Every time our paths crossed; I know my face turned bright red😱
I went apocalypse shopping this weekend because of the tariffs. I’ve never heard of apocalypse sex before, so I’m putting it on the list. Thanks, Mae 🎉

I actually fainted in the movie theater during Pulp Fiction when Vince jabs the needle into Mia's heart. I woke up and my date had no idea I had passed out of a minute.

Yes, Fortune! Riding in Cars with Boys & Boys on the Side (I watched them the around the same time in life) are two movies that really affected me at the time I watched them.
I wonder how many other people had the same reaction to the movie Carrie as Weird Al did.
I watched it when I was in seventh grade on TV with my family and a couple friends. It was me and my parents, my sister and one of her friends and a brother. I think there were six of us around the TV and EVERY single one of us screamed bloody murder when that hand came out of the rubble!
Damn, I remember it was like it was yesterday.
Even to this day, I know that hand is coming out when I rewatch that movie & it's still scares the crap out of me.
Classic horror flick, that's for sure.

I saw Midsommar starring Frances Pugh and it freaked the hell out of me! My adult kids took me to see it when it came out. I was totally traumatized! To this day, I cannot even look at photos of the movie and I will definitely not watch it ever again. And I love freaky, scar movies.

House of wax peeling the wax off and it peels off the skin but the eyes move indicating he is still alive under the wax. Still horrified.
