Conscripts with the obersoldaten LMG used to be the best squad in COH2 (they also used to get very big vet buffs before the 7 man upgrade was created) so we changed it such that Obers got a special version of their LMG and did this for a couple other weapons throughout the course of balancing the game.

Do you think they should add elite weapon passive to make the elite have higher DPS?
Personally, I think it is fine as it is because there are more abilities and stats ,like armor, for inf. Also, picking up is some kind of a reward or a comeback mechanic since it gives the picking up player a choice not to get the wiped squad again.

​@@WilllTHENOOBz I don't think any of the slot weapons in COH3 feel as powerful as the Ober lmg34 did so it feels less necessary (except for the fire on the move flamer)
I don't really think there are more abilities for infantry in COH3 but elites having more health per model is the large differentiating factor.
Elites in COH2 couldn't keep up with the durability of the mainlines so their weapons needed to be more powerful for them to be viable.

Does it mean that setting FlaK 36 to priority air targets actually fixes its problem with not being able to catch up with circling planes? Now it seems unable to fire at them, stuck in endless rotation.

It should be good as long as the planes are not right on top of them.
