  • This is part of an audio interview with Chris DeGarmo who was the lead guitarist and a founding member of heavy metal and progressive rock band Queensryche that was recorded during production of their 1990 album Empire.
I basically transferred this from my vinyl picture disc to an MP3, then added a picture of the band from the Empire album era. From left to right is Michael Wilton, Scott Rockenfield, Chris DeGarmo, Geoff Tate and Eddie Jackson.
Take hold of the flame and enjoy this great piece of Queensryche history \m/

Chris Degarmo, met him backstage during the Building Empires Tour, class act, nice guy and a real intellect and yet still humble, cool dude spoke with him for a while. He was about 6ft tall and weighed a buck forty, at the most. Good times back then. I was doing security for them. QR was never the same without him. Boy oh boy.

Agreed, Chris Degarmo is an awesome dude. I too met him, but during the Rage for Order Tour and actually got his along with the rest of the bands signatures on my original 206 records EP on vinyl. I actually have a video in the works to show that off along with some pictures that I took of everyone, so be sure to check back to my channel to see it. Ryche on! \m/

They lost so much when he left. Funny to hear "how's the music scene up there".

Chris DeGarmo and Geoff Tate had such great song writing chemistry together.
