I am so happy to have found your channel. As for as I can tell, you are the only woman in my age group who has a video blog dealing with Macular Degeneration. To my delight, you discuss everyday issues that affect our lives. For instance, the pen issue. I also have a contrast issue,, and cant stand it when pens bleed onto the back of the page. I use two: The REIZEN BOLD WRITER 20 PEN, WHICH IS FELT TIP THAT DOES’T BLEED, AND THE PILOT G-2 GEL PEN IIN IN *BOLD*. The Gel tip writes like a ballpoint except that it is darker. It’s hard to find in the stores, so I went online . I think you will like them both. Keep on Blogging.
I have not been able to find a ballpoint pen that writes bold enough what I am currently using right now is what they call the 2020 pin it is a pin but it still felt tip. I know that you could also use the Sharpie pen but it's still a felt-tip and then you have to deal with it bleeding through the paper. Therefore that does not allow you to use both sides of the paper. So I'm like you I'm on the hunt for a ballpoint that is bold enough for me to read I also do use that bold line paper I print my own there are templates online that you can download and print.

I hope you were able to find a pen. I am currently trying to find a good pen for me to write with as well. Normal pens are pretty hard to read for me.
Wal mart sells kids learn to write pads which are cheaper than those spiral pads .
OHTO Fude Ballpoint Pen Extra Bold, 1.5mm but read the reviews. Hope it helps
