They’ve gone from trying to make good phones (barely) to literally making the most Apple-like experience possible on an Android device without admitting it.
I think the 2018 Pixel will have that dual camera setup and add wireless charging. I also think some of these companies (Apple included) purposely leave off some features of their current products to just to put them in next year's model to give people reasons to buy next year's model when it comes out. Why didn't Apple include wireless charging in iPhone 7? It's a technology that's been around for a while. They were saving it for their special 2017 (10 year anniversary) phones. If face ID proves to be a success and as accurate as Apple claims, then the Pixel will probably add it in 2019 to give people a reason to buy the 2019 phone. 2018 headline Pixel features will probably be dual camera and wireless charging and 2019 headline feature will probably be a form of Face ID. All phone makers copy each other.
Dual camera set up doesn't mean shit, this has been proven by the first pixel and now the pixel 2 which has one of the best phone cameras in the market right now.
A lot of people compare similar products from different companies. I think what google is doing is trying make their pixel lool good and try to steal customers from Apple. Companoes often make jabs at their rivals.

Difference is, Google use USB-C, where apple uses lightning. You typically pay more for lightning headphones because they're specifically for iPhones, whereas USB-C headphones can be for many devices (and no royalties from 3rd parties mean they're cheaper to make and sell). Powered amplifiers for headphones sound great too.

in poorer lighting conditions the iPhone defaults to the standard camera for zoom shots. Same with the Note 8. It has to be pretty light to make use of the of it.

I'm an Android user. I'll admit that Apple's hardware is one of the best in the entire smartphone industry. However, I prefer Android's flexible OS over iOS any day. Android is highly, _highly_ customizable, while iOS seems to be stuck with what Apple wants you to have.

The audio quality of a headphones jack isn't great and it takes up a lot of room in the phone. The digital port gives much more bandwidth for high quality audio.

@Noah S - The hardware does differ from each size. One has a higher PPI while the other better colour space. Because of this, it turns out that while there are direct unique features to each screen, neither win out. So technically, you're point is correct but also the point made in this video stands also. (Also, hardware is totally a feature, like what this keynote is getting at with the dual cameras on the iPhone plus being exclusive to that size. Hardware)

I don't know what they meant by you will have the same experience with and smaller device and the bigger one, apple did that for the 6 but then they realized that the plus version was a more expensive version of the smaller one so they made the bigger one have dual cameras so that there will be more then size that you pay for
The point is, you will get the same phone, it doesn't matter what size you prefer. Except the display size. There are some users which like the smaller phone because it's more handy, but they want to have the same hardware like the bigger one.

I’m an Apple user and I love the color and look of the Pixel 2 in “Kinda blue”. Therefore, I tried it for a week for a change, to see if I would like it better than the iPhone. As I was waiting for its’ case to arrive, it got very fine scratches on the back which surprised me because I was extremely cautious the whole time I had it.. that really bummed me out! I’m kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my phone.. I also didn’t take into consideration that I have a MacBook and an Apple Watch so I returned it and got the iPhone 8.. which doesn’t scratch easily! :) I’m also used to iOS so Android is very different to me. I miss the Pixel’s camera though! But not the front camera because my face looked facetuned. 😳

I bought the 8 plus and love it I was coming from the 6 plus so some of the features are new to me if you got a 7 or 7 plus then maybe they don’t need the 8 and are waiting for the X overall we still gotta think of the millions who own the 7 the millions who will own the 8 and the millions who will get the X so if you look at it by next year the ones who own the 7 will upgrade and the year after that me who owns the 8 will probably upgrade as well apple biggest selling point is the base they have who will eventually upgrade every couple years I think that’s what other companies need to do build a base of their own

I'm an Android user. I'll admit that Apple's hardware is one of the best in the entire smartphone industry. However, I prefer Android's flexible OS over iOS any day. Android is highly, _highly_ customizable, while iOS seems to be stuck with what Apple wants you to have.

Because of this, it turns out that while there are direct unique features to each screen, neither win out. So technically, you're point is correct but also the point made in this video stands also. (Also, hardware is totally a feature, like what this keynote is getting at with the dual cameras on the iPhone plus being exclusive to that size. Hardware)

I’m an Apple user and I love the color and look of the Pixel 2 in “Kinda blue”. Therefore, I tried it for a week for a change, to see if I would like it better than the iPhone. As I was waiting for its’ case to arrive, it got very fine scratches on the back which surprised me because I was extremely cautious the whole time I had it.. that really bummed me out! I’m kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my phone.. I also didn’t take into consideration that I have a MacBook and an Apple Watch so I returned it and got the iPhone 8.. which doesn’t scratch easily! :) I’m also used to iOS so Android is very different to me. I miss the Pixel’s camera though! But not the front camera because my face looked facetuned. 😳

This one has better system, speakers, and aesthetics, maybe, personal preference but the v30's water resistance, expandable storage are pretty nice features. Not a big fan of LG skins so I would prefer the pixel 2 if it were just a bit cheaper

I bought the 8 plus and love it I was coming from the 6 plus so some of the features are new to me if you got a 7 or 7 plus then maybe they don’t need the 8 and are waiting for the X overall we still gotta think of the millions who own the 7 the millions who will own the 8 and the millions who will get the X so if you look at it by next year the ones who own the 7 will upgrade and the year after that me who owns the 8 will probably upgrade as well apple biggest selling point is the base they have who will eventually upgrade every couple years I think that’s what other companies need to do build a base of their own
