LS300 J-Log1- JVC New Basic Lut ～ A nostalgic feel, Koganei

This clip was shot with JVC LS300 J-Log1 mode a year ago and I applied new basic lut this time.
I reupload "A Nostalgic Feel,Koganei."
Becase I tried JVC NEW BASIC LUT, and I got good results.

New basic lut is more natural than old lut.

These include BT709,BT2020 and BT2100_HLG.
J-Log1 exposure is very easy.
Turn on 1D-Lut for LCD and VF.
Spot Meter.Turn to manual mode in menu. Adjust a 18gray is 18% indication. a 90% white is 90% indicate. Very simple to understand.
Histgram: According to menu, a bottom red line on histgram is 0Stop(18%) on default set. So adjust a scean average exposure to a red bottom line. Very nice fnction.
Zebra: According to J-Log1 grapf, 18% gray is 35.9%, 90% white is 66.5%.

Thank you for watching. I don't really remember it because it was three years ago, but I think it was CANON EF　24-105mm　1:3.5-5.6 IS STM　＋　METABORNES.

@@earthvoicesm LS300 is internal recording up to 4K30P 4:2:2 . LS300 is capable 4k 60p 4:2:0 HDMI output , in that case you need external recorder, like ATOMOS.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I recorded this video only internal of 150mbps 4k(UHD) mode .I added a slight sharpness at post.
I sometimes use a external recorder. In my test, ext recording(ex.proress422) is better for banding.

Do you ever shoot at isos above +12 db? I want to know how clean the image is at high iso

I usual　shoot under iso 3200(+12dB) and J-Log mode. Under iso 3200, I can handle the noise with tone curve at post process . Thanks!

SPOT METER:
Step1: Main Menu→ Camera Function→USER Switch Set...→Spot Meterr→Select”Manual".
Step2: Main Menu→ Camera Function→USER Switch Set...→ ex. LCD KEY＜→Select"Spot Meter"
Step3: LCD KEY＜ →It appears a spot meter green widow in LCD.→ Turn　LCD KEY＜ for about 2sec.→　Blinking　the spot meter widow. →　You　can move the window to anywhere you want with LCD KEY ^v . And push the LCD KEY stick.
You can read the average video level in window with % indication in LCD. If the average video level in window is 18%, then refrection of a subject is 18% .

HISTGRAM
Step1: Main Menu→ Camera Function→USER Switch Set...→ ex. LCD KEY＞→Select"Histgram" and exit menu.
Step2: Turn　the LCD KEY＞→It appears a Histgram in LCD.
Step3: Main Menu→LCD/VF→Display　Setting...→Histgram　Bottom　→　Select"0F-stop(18%) →exit.
You can find red dash line in under area of the histgram. In this case,this line is 18% refrection.

1D LUT
Step1:Main Menu→LCD/VF→ LCD/VF 1D-LUT→　Turn to ON→exit
I like　the LCD KEY and Favorites Menu for quick access.
My setting of LCD KEY is ＜=SPOT \METER, 　＞=Histgrma, V ="White Balance" for changing Color Temp and ^ =Variable Gain.
Favorites Menu Switching.
Main Menu→ Push menu button　for about 2sec. It appear the Favorites Menu.→ Push menu button　for about 2sec. Returns the normal menu.

I used
CANON EF24-105mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM + metabornes
and
OLYMPUS M Zuiko Digital 45mm 1:1.8.
The stabilizer of EF24-105mm is working well with ls300.
Zuiko Digital 45mm is very sharp and almost covered S35mm size withVSM.
