actually people of slum areas don't want redevelopment mainly bcoz of 2 reason - cheap cost of housing and living in the heart of mumbai ...plus owner of these jhuggis earning good amount from rent ....but these jhuggis are stopping mumbai from becoming a true international city .....

@@nysasandilya7600 have you ever lived in any slum area ?? i have 2 jhuggis in khar(east) - and i know the mindset of the owners of these jhuggis ... dekho apko aache se samjhata hun ... log kyun jhuggi ni chhodna chahtey ... jitne bhi slum areas hain mumbai k unme jo jhuggi bani hain wo sab 2 storey bani hui hain .. matlb 2 room k rent aayengey agar wahi jhuggi flat mein convert mein hogyi to sirf ek flat ka rent aayega.... kyun ki in buildings mein mostly gareeb rehtey to inka rent bhi kam hota ... let's take an example of sra flat of khar east ...jaha koi 10 hajar bhi dene ko ready. ni hain rent ka . wahi jhuggi ka aram se 12-15 hajar mil jata ... plus jese ap bol rahe ki logo ko bahar fek dia jayega aaisa ni ... jhuggi walo ko temporary building bana k di jatin in same area for time being ... ja k ap khar east mein dekh saktey aaj bhi bahotbsi temporary buildings mein aaj bhi log reh rahe . aab baat kartey hain dharavi mein kyun log object kar rahe to iska sabse bada reason hain dharavi ki jhuggiyo mein chalne wali small scale industries . har jhuggi mein 5-8 log reh rahe 1-2 rooms mein . jo ki flat banne k bad possible ni ho payega.... dusri cheej dharavi jaisi jagaho mein hone wali illegal migrations .. aur local vote bank of many politicians ... ek aadmi u.p se aaya phir wo apne ristedar ko le k aayega aise hi cycle chalti rehti phir dhire se wo resident hojata aur vote bank ban jata sehar ka ...plus ...flats mein rehne ki wajah se cost of living thodi badh jatin hain .....

I have my friends who are richer than our average middle class family.
Many richer families stay there to dodge tax, and not come across scanner of IT/ED.
I would say, dharavi should change at any cost, there will be difficulties but atleast that poverty p*rn will decrease in india.
I think people just forgot how much those foreigners criticized india and continued to do so whenever regarding Dharavi and now we should change for good

Dharavi has been made infamous by international media and movies, the Government probably looks at it as an embarrassment especially when it wants to show India as an economic superpower, this project has nothing to do with well being of people and it only aims at removing slums once and for all, this will kill small businesses there, make Mumbai more unaffordable and create more such slums in the outskirts, but govt doesn't care as long as those new slums do not get media attention as the world's biggest or Asia's biggest slum

At first when i heard the news that Adani is going to redevelopment project, i was slightly happy to be honest i knew Adani was going to gain much more then the people of dharavi but still i thought they would get better life.
I had that thought because in my brain Dharavi's image was just smal huts ( because of Bollywood ) But after seeing this video my whole concept just changed, its not that slum it looks like tier 3 cities.
Ground works like these must be shared and apprised.
Literally respect for your efforts ❤
Most of the people in this video are just telling what they have listened to from others or assumed things . And this is not their fault, they may have been misled by someone.
Also here is the duty of government to convey the correct message to people and be transparent in their policies. Otherwise this is bound to happen. People in India do not like change and shifting from their home is a big thing.

Concern of the people of dharavi is genuine, some people have land area then why they accept just only flat, their land give always benefit for their generation and flat only the can live not earn just like own land.
None of them owns any land in Dharavi, Dharavi is a government owned land which is occupied by these people and that's why its is called a SLUM. 🤦🤦

2. Location - kisi ka ghar dharavi me acchi location pe he and use resettlement ke tahet jana pada to anyay hoga.
3. Log paise ko bachane ke liye ghar ke kagaaz ya id proof nahi banate to adani group fayda uthayega.
4. Logo ka khane peene le fafe he aur if unhe flat diya to vo vaha usko rent me de denge .
5. Kuch migration vale log he jo thode saal ke liye rahte he and chale jaate he to wo log dusra slum bana sakte ge.
Solution - logo ko shikshit hona hoga so waha pe school and college banaye and teachers ache laye.
Saaf safai karne ke liye protsahit kiya jaye.
