The Golf sports is a nice addition, but to be honest, Nintendo Switch Sports still needs _more_ sports.
And to feel a little more like a Wii sports sequel rather than a standalone sports game
This game was just an overall bummer, not enough content and didn’t even have it’s most iconic game on launch.
Not even worth the £30 quid when Mario Golf has slightly more and better actual content and you can just play Wii Sports/Resort for free if you still have it lmao

While I do have fun with what's here, this could've been so much more. The progression is focused almost entirely on earning new fits, you'd think they would've had a small city section to explore where you could see other players sort of how Splatoon does it.
Exactlyy i like the addition of cosmetics to customise your character, but they literally built spocco square....only for it to not even be explored further which was such a missed opportunity. They even have info in the loading screens about the different buildings and places you can shop but you cant even explore that ;-;

Oh wow the long awaited update for a sport that's already been the original Wii Sports and Resort from the very beginning, I'm sure the 7-month wait was worth it!
Let's not even pretend to act excited, nobody even cares anymore.
Besides, the Mario movie is getting a new trailer tomorrow and that is all that we care about atm.

I can literally just go boot up golf in either Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort right now, and in fact I have played Golf there since this game released, so this update is literally pointless for me lol.
2 years later, they finally got a new sport. AMAZING.

And all they included were holes from an old game. No creativity or originality. Golf is by far my most played game from the original Wii Sports--looks like I don't need to buy the Switch version since it's just a rehash. The graphics (at least the golf portion) look no better than the Wii version either.

Wii Sports Resort had almost all of this + a TON more content and came out only shortly after the original Wii Sports.
I haven't seen anyone point out that the actual golf courses that were added in this update are THE SAME courses from Wii Sports, which are the SAME courses that were in the original golf on the NES. We couldn't even get original courses lmao

You know how they always talk about spocco square, how it's detailed in the tips and stuff, why can't we actually EXPLORE the place? They took so long with the golf I thought they would surprise us with something with the update, walking around or "hints" of new sports or something, but no, the layout of the menu makes it look like these are it
Maybe one more sport planned with the one building that looks like it could be discus or baseball, but that’s being a bit optimistic, since the random button for online is over it
It's not a real city. They can take out a building or two to add a new facility. Do people actually think that they're limiting themselves because of the layout of the background?
Best part of the update isn't Golf, it's LAN mode

I'm so glad they added a casual sports title for the switch, but 3 of the now 7 have a similar aesthetic. Badminton, volleyball and tennis are all "hit ball* over net" but with tweeked mechanics.

So golf wasn’t even delayed at all, just still working on it more before the Fall season almost ended, because it was still aiming for the Fall release, which November logically is within that time frame. If it was aiming for December (even later by 2022), then I wouldn’t have commented about it in the first place.

Truly and honestly, I preferred the old classic Miis.
My favorite part was when Nintendo said "It's golfin' time!" and golfed all over the game. Truly one of the updates of all time.
