story time! okay so I love this show and I was watching this episode and this song really stuck in my mind, like I was playing it on my lap at any given time or on the desk in class, so eventually I searched it on youtube about 3 years ago (when this came out) and I liked the song a lot, but then I found the original band that played it and so i was like "oh cool, lets see if its as good as the glee version" and so i clicked it and I was just thinking "these Imagine Dragons guys are great" so I listened to the band version of the song for weeks then kind of forgot about them until my sister got me one of those starbucks puck of the week free downloads things and it was Inagine Dragons "Radioactive" and i was thinking "I recognise that band name" so I listened to it and fell in love all over again. then when the album Night Visions came out I bought that too and my love for Imagine Dragons just kept growing until they were my favourite band. I cried when I couldn't go to their first concert, but then their second album "Smoke and Mirrors" came out and I freaked out and couldn't stop listening to it, until I got two tickets for my birthday to see the Smoke and Mirrors tour. When they played this song at the concert I cried because I remembered all of the events that got me to that moment. I still absolutely love Imagine Dragons and they will be my favourite band forever. Long story short, I thank this episode of Glee for giving me the gift of brilliant music and a new found love and appreciation for bands like them. so thanks Glee, you really changed my life.

honestly, this is one of my favorites performances. just because it's the only imagine dragons song they sing in the show (and ID is my favorite band) and because it's a beautiful klaine moment
On the one hand, this song is so perfect in the context in which it was sung. The juxtaposition of Darren Criss’s beautiful voice, the crazy emotional acting skills, that song, and Karofsky’s suicide attempt are stunning. On the other hand, though, part of me keeps thinking, ‘Should have saved that for Nationals, Blaine. Or at least sung it twice.’ Honestly, as far as I am concerned, that is the most powerful song of the show, and the most beautifully performed. An they are both such tremendous actors. On a different note, I always feel that Karofsky should have returned to McKinley after all of the bullying, and joined the glee club. He would have been welcomed and celebrated there. And he has a good voice. But seriously. Darren Criss. Wow.
