A "true bass" like Woorim isn't that common anywhere really, maybe only 5-10% of men classified as "bass" can actually sing the lowest notes of a bass vocal range with ease. I think that's why the Phantom Singer judges wanted to give him a chance to prove himself. And he has done so and much more.
@@mxgirl918 I spoke Korea in metaphorical linguagem to prise Korea. I've heard many good korean tenors, but Woorim is the BEST for me. His voice is beautiful, perfect, singular and he, Woorim knows how to use it beautifully ( talent) with passion, Grace, and elegance. There is a direct relationship between the singer and his voice. So Woorim's voice is beautiful and Woorim is beautiful person. Thank you. 👍✌🥰🙏🤝

He would be best described as a bass with a developed higher register. What I meant is that WR is "limited edition" (rare). That's why even Minkyu took notice of him at university despite their big age gap and the PS judges immediately smiled with excitement during his audition. Most basses are actually bass-baritones (e.g. FDQ Son Taejin) and to be able to go as low as WR doesn't only require hard work and talent, it's also the vocal chords you're born with. The beautiful voice we hear in the video was the result of his hard work and willingness to try other singing styles. 👍
