Good battle report. Thallax can still do the jump move even if they don't shoot. It just has to be done "after the unit has completed any Shooting Attacks". Which means they can do it after they shoot, but do not have to shoot, and may not then shoot after it is done.
This was extremely fun to watch! Great guest! Mechanicum rules are very complicated. It really requires extra servo components in brain to remember all the special rules. I felt that way with 1.0, but that was before cybernetica was clearly the way to go and everything became simple. Now with more options, it will take time to understand the nuances. And I’m certain with all cogitators engaged, we can find a strategy against legiones . Serious question thought - are rules writers super geniuses for making such an in-depth ruleset (with layers upon layers)? Or are they the dumb IF fanboys I imagine that stumbled into potential greatness. I think latter. PS - I also think there will be a new IF independent character that has a special “imperial master of automata” rule where he costs 75 points, has master of legion, must be in reserve, and gives +3WS and +1BS to the entire mechanicum detachment. Limitation: they are not allowed to take Glaive. That model available soon, even though his rules don’t allow him to be on table. (Last part shows my cynicism about GW and HH. Bligh made things out of love for game, and it made it special.)
Hahaha hmm can’t say I agree on all points (the If consul WS bonus I think you’ve lowballed) but sounds correct on most I don’t think the overlapping layers were as bad/numerous (delete based on your own opinion) in HH1tbh
Just getting into Horus Heresy with a dark mech army myself. Quite like the idea of a tooled up arch magos on abayant who keeps himself alive through necrotek. Been good to see the new rules in action. BTW German for ‘blinded’ is ‘geblendet’
There will definately be better examples of the usage of the rule but glad you found it useful; it’s a really fun setup for the magos to have when I’ve used it! Noted and stored for use on the geblendet!
Took a while for me to finish this vid (mean old work interrupting me). Near the end of tye video a magos ran away ftom combat with a unit of ursarax and a tech auxilia. It didn't make a difference due to the rolls. But due to it being a multiple combat. The tech auxilia wouldn't have been able to add their initiative to the sweeping advsnce (see rulebook pg 190 for multiple combata sweeping advance)
stumbled upon this channel after looking into Heresy. really enjoyed the game. Henry was a great and really enjoyed the banter
Glad you enjoyed it mate: Hope we dont disappoint with the other vids you watch!
@@BearfootMiniatures will be watching more vids in the future
Trying to watch while wrangling the kids, loving the batreps, and loving the beautiful Mechanicum
Glad you’re enjoying the vids! Good luck on the herding of cats!
Won’t be able to watch this right now but will late tonight/tomr. Just want to say I’m excited and looking forward to it!
Hope you enjoyed it mate!

It’s your fault Max I’ve just converted a jet pack magos!
Its the future! No looking back from the 13" jumps!
