I would love to see one of my fav coffee TH-camrs do a video on teaching a complete newbie to do simple latte art. Have your son grab some rando off the street. After the booking process, have him teach them how to do beginner latte art.
I bought the Maestro Plus and I am very happy with it. The only downside that I am still waiting for confirmation from the manufacturer is whether it is compatible with the Dedica line portafilters. I tried a bottomless from Normcore and it does not fit the machine. One more thing, which I think was incorrectly explained in the review. The steaming temperatures are available only for automatic steaming. For manual it works more as a temperature gauge.
No the old Dedica portafilters won't fit, they've changed the tabs. Re the temp, yeah the temp settings and texture settings only relate to auto, manual is manual. Ta, Kev.
@@Coffee_Kevbtw. I think Tom mentioned it as well. Even though the provided pressure is on the paper higher on DMP in needs coarser grind to push water through the coffee puck than the BBP
They should have a version with the normal 885 wand. All those strange auto wands they make just because so many people believe it's difficult to steam milk.
Depends on what you're looking for, if you're not fussed about the auto frothing, personally I'd prefer the Bambino. The base level Bambino is an amazing little machine for the money. I've used it as my home machine for a while now as our kitchen is very cramped at present, and it's a very good little machine. Heats almost instantly, just requires one turbo flush (flush with the dual walled basket in place, for a full brew temp flush) to properly heat up - steam is instantly ready and it's powerful enough when you consider there's no wait time. And it takes up such a tiny amount of space, and it's so well priced.
@@Coffee_KevThank you for taking the time to give such a thoughtful response. Much appreciated. I watched several more of your videos last night and hit like on all of them. Great content. I admit, part of this is psychological as my brain thinks “how could I turn down the more expensive machine at the same price as its competitor’s base model?!?” Not rational, yet hard to overcome. I would enjoy the auto-frothing at times, but it’s not a deal breaker. Perhaps I’ll dig more deeply into the Bambino than I have previously. Appreciate the redirect!
51mm portafilter, sorry! Doesn't fit the older style portafilter though.
It is compatible with Delonghi La Specialista portafilter

@@Coffee_Kevthank you for sharing the info about tabs. That sucks. But save me money :)

It is compatible with Delonghi La Specialista holders. I got one from AliExpress
Very helpful. I need the bottomless portafilter too.
Isn't it a 51mm basket/portafilter?
It is, that was a test, you passed 😄
@@Coffee_Kev Ah of course 😂

I believe the non-plus model is exactly what you are looking for.
“Rocket 🚀” Ready to launch spaceman!!!
What about this maestro plus vs the base bambino (not the plus model)? Right now both are $299 for me in USA. Would be my first machine.

Thank you for review
How about a video on best setups up to £1k or £1.5k.
You're not a Bee Gee, you're the 5th Beetle.
Good review. Caffeine is having an effect. 😂
Haha thanks 😎 yeah I can't even form words without caffeine 😂
Hopefully this thing doesn't kill itself like the Bambino likes to do 😅
👏👏👏👏
