Another idea for linguini, make it as you did, but grate a bit of parmessean cheese over the top or tossed throughout. Adding some heavy cream & making it allfredo sauce is super yummy!!
Yeah that sounds so much better then the honey (I hate sweet/savory food) just keep it savory for me. The sweetest thing should be the crab in my opinion but I’m so picky. I just love seeing “smash Ramsey”
My suggestion is a little less olive oil replace with some good Guernsey heavy cream and a touch of white wine to finish it,keep the onion, garlic, lemon, pasta✌️ Napa California
It’s crazy I grew up fishing with my dad I loved it as a kid but as I grew up I stopped going out as much with him and he passed away a couple years ago and now I find myself watching your videos. watching you do the same things we loved todo Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾 Nothing more friendly than a fisherman’s smile 😊
Great video as always… Love it when you switch it up with Recipes… A lot of people forget about the Cook part in it is a very important part of the video at least to me… Keep up the hard work
Watching your videos are a great distraction for my grief. My lovely little cat died a few days ago & I find some comfort watching you fish. Thank you for uploading such great quality videos.
Haha we did the same thing a few weeks ago with dungeness crab. Cooked onion and garlic in butter then add white wine and cook down then add cream and thicken. When ready add seasoning crab and poor iver pasta. Yum! 👍😁🦀
Lots more garlic!! Like double what you used!! Use real butter...melt it down in a pan...sweat shallots and garlic and a little white wine. Slice button mushrooms (if you like them), and saute a couple minutes until soft. Lower heat...add a cup of heavy cream...and a tablespoon of dill. Add your crab, shrimp, any seafood!🦀🦐🦞 Cook linguini...then add cooked pasta to seafood and sauce...add some sliced green onion and a bit of parsley...and toss!! Serve with butter and toasted Italian or French bread. This is a go-to seafood recipe for my family...we can never get enough of it!! It tastes like you've gone to a fancy restaurant...while staying at home!!!!
Hi Jay. You need to try doing Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncino. It’s basically olive oil, chilli flakes that go into hot oil and toast for a few minutes, then add some garlic and shallots. Cook on a high heat for 5 minutes, add your cooked spaghetti and mix through and then add crab or prawns or scallops and mix again and serve with freshly chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Really nice catch. That crab linguini looks delicious. I use ring traps to catch blue crabs. They are smaller than spider crabs but are also very tasty. Appreciate the video thanks.
Love your channel, have been watching since the original lockdown, mega impressed with what you have achieved. Try Sweating down with white wine or butter and use fresh linguini, for the authentic touch, keep up the good work
Your as bad as me when I’m cooking bacon 🥓, not much makes it to the actual plate😂. Loving the crab wheel videos. I watch them with the family. “Nothing is free in life” is such a true statement. Catch you on the next one 👍🇨🇦
instead of a oil based sauce, you can sweat your onions and garlic down in some butter, add some cream or half and half, seasoning/spices then toss in your crab meat just to give it a warm up, and then toss in your pasta, finish with parsley, and a good grate of hard cheese, like romano or parmesan. Does great with mussels and/or clams, so I bet crab meat would be great with it like that.
Looks great. Just add a bit of fresh cream and some black ground pepper. and as you said, add a bit of lemon zest and you will change the dish to be super amazing. Love your episodes and your lifestyle, enjoy every moment. 😁😁
It always impresses me how well behaved/easy to handle the spiders seem to be. Much easier than the lady crabs! For seafood pasta I like to keep it simple, olive oil, garlic, plenty of parsley and chilli. Maybe some lemon zest over the top. You can also fry up some panko in butter (can even add some lemon zest, garlic and herbs) for a crispy pangrattato topping, as long as you drain it thoroughly on some paper towel, it will keep well in an airtight container for a week or so
I would add some red chili flakes in the beginning when you add the onion and add a dollop of butter at the end before you add the crab. Other than that it seems to be a good recipe
Great VIdeo Smash the Clipper is what we always come over on prefer it to the fast catamaran Im not in no hurry lol prefer to chillax perhaps we have been lucky but always been on time and a good service and going from Portsmouth is another bonus as its closer to me than Poole the best Linguine (prawn) I've ever ate was in the Boathouse in the harbour about 10 years ago although in April I noticed its now part of a group of restaurants including Crabby Jacks .
Bangin video mate. I didn’t realise how many crabs you had that night. Must’ve been those stinking pollock heads doing the trick 😂 The pasta looked great too 👌🏼
How are you and the family, Jay? I give you credit to be out there in such lousy weather. Nice catch! Great meal. My Pop loved crab Alfredo with linguine. We would go to Red Lobster seafood restaurant and he would enjoy himself. Be well! 🦀
Add olive oil to hot water and half the spaghetti strands, stops it sticking, cut up your onions and garlic to a smaller size cook on low heat until change colour not cooked or burnt, just a tip or two Smash,
One of my favorite fishing show videos that I watch so please do not take what follows as criticism but it is Cal and I not Me and Cal. It seems that we have become a me first society, Every thing from family conversations to social media is me first That is my rant for the day. Keep on Fishing
Haha if you really new me you wouldn’t think that 😂 But yes your rite it is a me society but there to many people that feed on kindness an sap the life out of you , so sometimes being a little selfish is needed to stand your ground
Next time use shallots instead of onions if your going to use onion mince it fine and toss the parsley with the pasta don't just toss it on top of the dish. You can also add a ladle of the pasta water at the end the water will help with the sauce
Damn, Jay. You flip that skillet like a professional. Personally I would have eaten every bit of the crab as you cleaned it...Smash agreed. I am a father and a grandfather, how is your baby? Would love to see him/her.
Chef Smash. Down home hot meal cooking. If only you can write down the ingredients for put them all together. That would make a great addition to your channel and merch store.
Another idea for linguini, make it as you did, but grate a bit of parmessean cheese over the top or tossed throughout. Adding some heavy cream & making it allfredo sauce is super yummy!!
Smash, next time try it with a few shallots a tad garlic, saffron and finished with a bit cream and butter. Classic linguine al forno
Thanks for the tips mate
