You just helped me with a problem I had with my Mini Keurig, I don't know that there's two different model, mine is the Mini Keurig not the Mini Plus, I was trying to remove the water reservoir and now I just learned I can't do it. Thanks very much.
We have the mini + and weren't able to get bottom drip tray off until we saw your video. We had just removed the grate and then the frame around it looked like it would lift off but until your video, we learned it slides out. Thanks for showing.
I own both and heartily recommend the Plus because of the "strong" brew option and the removable reservoir for easy cleaning. Both models are temperamental and sometimes just refuse to brew. Then they come back to life. I still like this machine. It's slender and beautiful and you always get a "clean water" cuppa because it's a single brew system.
Evidently they are temperamental if you don't put exactly 6 ounces of water in. It will glitch and force you to put 12oz in to brew a too weak cup of coffee. Can anyone confirm this. I read this from an Amazon reveiw.
I'm surprised it took as long as it did to realize the first wave of Keurigs always left water in its tank. So many complaints of foul-tasting coffee due to stale water led to this one serving only brewer, only to now have numerous complaints about the thing not working well. What's up with this company's products?
Keurig has had this pour-in type available over 10 years. It was model B30 (you still see B130 in hotels - it has the instructions written on the side). The first Keurig I ever saw was the red B30R my co-worker had on his desk. With those models you poured the water directly into the stainless heating chamber and closed it. It took a while to heat up the water... I don't know how fast these new mini's are.
I purchased the mini back in November in the color Oasis and although it’s cute, it doesn’t work all that well. From other reviews that I’ve read we all have the same problem when it comes to the unit warming up the water and it not brewing. Sometimes I have to unplug and reinstall the Kcup to get it to work. I definitely do not recommend that purchase.
I have the same problem with my son’s mini plus. Thanks- I thought it was me or the machine was old. I was going to get him a new one but will look around for a substitute.
I recently purchased the Kureg mini plus.and I have been very happy with it. Makes the perfect cup of coffee. No problems so far with the unit and so easy to use.
@@mwatts-riley2688 , we still have it. Still works but it can get "moody". Meaning sometimes, the water will not drain properly into the unit to heat up and what happens is you have let it run a cycle. Meaning you still must leave your cup to receive the hot water that you poured into the machine. Also, make sure you remove your Coffee pod so you don't waste it. Then let it rest a bit by unplugging it and then trying again. It's annoying but it does work. That is with this machine. Not sure with others.
I bought the mini and have had it for a month. I have not been able to enjoy a single cup of coffee. Each cup comes out with a horrible unexplainable taste. Not drinkable. Also there is weird, almost grainy film in each cup that is poured. I want to take it back. Is anyone else having this issue? Also the cord is so short, it has to be placed directly in front of an outlet and still barely reaches.
I've read a lot of reviews saying the coffee isn't hot. Is one hotter then the other or the same? It's the coffee about the same as any other single brew machine (keurig/Tassimo)?
Can you pls explain how to use a non-Keurig brand reusable pod in the K-Mini? You lost me when you popped out that that black thing (filter). Is it to be removed first and replaced with the reusable pods ?
Hi, when I popped out the pod holder - it was to put in the reusable filter for use with ground coffee. You don't have to pop anything out if you're using K-cups (pods)any brand.
bestkitchenreviews thank you for the explanation. I think I got it. You pop out the black thing to put in the re-usable pod with the ground coffee, otherwise I leave it in if using the k-pods. Weird b/c withe the Keurig I replaced, it allowed me to place the re-usable pod inside the black pod holder, and it worked! Some pods do work with the K-mini pod holder but tit doesnt close too well.
If you are having trouble finding the Keurig reusable cups, you may have more luck with the “ECO-FILL 2.0 Deluxe Single Serve Pod”. They fit perfectly in the K-cup holder on your machine. They are purple and the exact size of a disposable K-cup pod. I bought mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but sometimes they don’t have them so try online. One retails for $12.99. You can use it without a paper filter but I prefer to use the “Simple Cups filters” I buy on Amazon. The box contains a years supply of filters. Good Luck
@@anonymousanonymous-rl4mb That could be the issue. Keurig does not recommend descaling the K-Mini or K-Mini Plus with white vinegar anymore. They want customers using their descaling solution now, and don't even put the descaling instructions in the manual anymore. Just basic instructions, and advertising. Also the K-mini and K-Mini Plus takes a bit longer to brew compared to the older machines.
I bought this mini brewer. It lasted about 4 months before it quit working. The descale light come and I cleaned it with vinegar water as I have always cleaned my units. This did not help the descale light stayed on. I bought the descaler from WalMart. Still the light stayed on. Then it quit working altogether. Although I wrote to Keurig, I got no reply. I kept my old one and started using it again. If you have problems you might as well just throw it away because they do not even bother to give you a reply when you complain
How long does it take to brew a "strong" setting (slower) 6 ounce cup from a K-Cup? I read over three minutes, but that may or not include the warm up time. The reviewer did not say. I ONLY use the strong setting on my Elite. After coming up to temp, it doesnt seem to take very long to brew my typical 6 ounce cup.
RE: Mini plus? Can you remove the empty water reservoir 1st, add your water to it in the sink, and then redock it without water escaping from it while transporting it back to the coffee machine?
I like the features of the Plus better but they don't offer that awesome Oasis color in that so I went with the more plain model. Thank you for your review as it answered several questions I had, the main one being where is my pod storage. . . . and there is none for mine. Sad face. I would have ordered it separately but there is no such animal, so no onboard pod storage for me.
Thanks for the vid. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to remove the K-Cup holder (thought I’d break it). Watching you vid showed how easy it was to remove to clean. Thanks!
Great review! We have the Keurig Cafe and We bought the Keurig Red Compact for a gift (we hate Brother-in-law's drip coffee maker lol) Anyhow I was truly blown away when I noticed the Mini avg price is $99...Yet the Compact is only $59....Thoughts? The compact has a larger reservoir...I can't figure it out? Strange...
I personally don’t want any coffeemaker where I have to refill the water after every single cup. I had that in the past with a Senseo. But if I were in a dorm or some other mobile environment, then the situation would be completely different. So I have no interest in either of these. But someone else may not mind if they have to tuck it away in a drawer after each use. Could be great for that.
i almost wrecked my keurig mini because im a dumbshit lmao i tried taking the reservoir out but it wouldn't budge then i realized thats only for thw Plus'
I enjoy hearing non - bias reviews so that I can make an informed decision before I make a purchase. New subscriber!
Thanks, Felicia 😀
Agreed!
Both are overpriced when bought brand new.
@@tinahuttner7280 you can get new ones on ebay for a decent price. I'm pretty sure they get liquidated a lot. I got one for $54 after tax and all.
Right on the money
Thank you for being concise and quick. We could use more reviewers like you.
Agreed ..that's exactly what I said

Loved your review. Simple, concise and without a lot of unnecessary chatter. Just what I needed. Thank you.
👍😀
Thanks for making this video--it was exactly what I needed to help me choose between these models.
😀👍
Thanks for for this straight to point review, almost went with the regular one but now realize the Plus is what I like & need - thanks again!
👍😁
me too! THANKS
Thank you! I Almost bought the regular one because it was more afforable but i prefer the plus!

Thanks for always reminding the viewer what kind of cleaning cloth is best. A damp one. And most crucially, lint-free.

Thanks so much 😀
Answered all my questions clearly and concisely and quickly. freaking awesome!!!
So glad!
Best comparison review I have seen! Thank you :)
Your video was very straight forward and concise! Great comparison, thank you, it was very helpful! ❤️❤️
Glad to hear it 😀
I just purchased my Keurig mini plus from HSN. I hope it works great with no issues.
Any update?
you're an amazing teacher thank you
Great video! Much appreciated. K Mini coming my wife's way on Black Friday.
Comments are succinct. Helpful!
Thank you for clearly showing the differences!
Is the mini plus still working property? Do you recommend it? Thanks

It would be interesting to compare these to the K-Slim.
I wonder if the reusable filter also fits mini plus? Thanks!
Yes, it does 😀

You’ll need to descale it using their solution to remove calcium.

Is there a diff size cup for mini or regular ones ...on amazon trying to find reusable mini one frustrating
No, they’re all the same size 😁

Does this show coffee stains on the outside?
Its awful. Wont brew. KCup mini, I've had two. They both randomly decide not to work properly. Buy the regular keurig.
Mine does the same thing....even after descaling with white vinegar

Very nice basic review of the features and differences.
Can i use any kind of pots!? Or just certain sizes?
RE: Mini plus? Can you remove the empty water reservoir 1st, add your water to it in the sink, and then redock it without water escaping from it while transporting it back to the coffee machine?
Hello, do you find the Strong brew button worth of getting a plus?
I think the ability to remove water is a plus.
Thanks for the comparison! 👍🏻👊🏻
You’re welcome! 😀
Great video, direct to the point, clear and highlighting all the useful features. Keep up the good work!
Thanks 😁
I bought the k mini and I really wanted the pod holder with it. Does the pod hold fit in the original mini? Thanks in advance :)
So basically the difference is the plus has a removable water holder and storage for k-cups but other than that they are the same :))
strong coffee button on the plus also.
Thank you! This was very helpful
👍😁
You should review and do a comparison of the new Keurig K Slim. It just came out this year.
Will check it out 😀

I saw this at Kroger's today and was thinking of buying it. Is it worth the money when i got a coffee pot?
filtered fridge water or distilled water? which is better in a new keurig?
I don't like either. I have a Berkey water filter...awesome clean water
Thank you so much for your review. Now I know which model to buy
👍😀
Can you just brew water if you want to do Instant .?
Yes brew hot water without putting in a KCup, simply just close the part that pops up first and add the water then press brew.
Thanks for the vid. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to remove the K-Cup holder (thought I’d break it). Watching you vid showed how easy it was to remove to clean. Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know. I believe it’s unavailable at Amazon now. It may come back in stock.
Good job.🙂
I’ve used both and they both shut down in the middle of brewing
Thanks I will buy the plus with your affiliate link as a Cristmass present.
Thanks 😁
Great review.
Thanks 😀

thanks!!

Please don’t buy this coffee machine it broke just after one year. I am talking about the Oasis one. I called Keurig and they refused to replace it .
ok italian lady
I have a La Marzocco professional espresso machine. It makes this Keurig look like a toy.
Yeah off course yours is a damn professional and the mini is compact and suitable for dorm life and or someone who enjoys coffee once in a while 🤦🏻♀️
