Want to agree with you but I think he's also just being smart not walking in the house where he might possibly get trapped. Not saying this guy is that type person to do that to his deer friend but from the deer's perspective he's got to be smart about entering a human's terf.
Our last rescue deer would come in the house, lay down on the couch, watch TV and eat dinner with us for the first 3 yrs of his life and then he had to go and be a real deer and not a deer-dog! I sure miss Little Buck!

Yes but now that deer is not afraid of people and most people want to hunt deer I did it one time when I was 15 at the right of passage I'm a hillbilly but I never did it again because when I come up on it and I saw it laying there the whole went inside making some god-awful screaming noise I did I knew I did something really bad really wrong and I never did it again I've never hunted any other animal ever since then

Not true. Hunters aren't just "hanging around the woods." Hunters are in a blind, or in a tree stand where the deer never see them unless they move. Even deer in an area where they are used to seeing humans will get spooked when they are in their environment (the woods.) These deer are choosing to come into his environment and accept the risk. They probably wouldn't do that if they saw him in the woods, even if he has food, because in the woods he would be seen as an intruder.

Anyone with a connection to nature knows it's best not to feed wild animals. Great way to bring mountain lions to your property if you feed deer 24/7. You can also spread CWD especially if you're hand feeding multiple deer or putting out salt licks.

Everything is available freely, plant-based and cruelty free substitutes are everywhere, and no one has to die and give up their entire life for your 5-minute meal. No wild animal is tame. They can be socialized to humans, but never tamed. You have to respect that... But dude up above is correct.... It does make them an easy target for hunters.
I once car camped with my dog at a wonderful campground in Oregon, near the ocean. There were deer which were so used to being welcomed (and fed...LOL) by the many campers, that they casually just walked up the road, through campsites, etc., to see if there were any "kind humans." Of course, I hand fed a beautiful doe (with her fawn), while my perfectly behaved Boxer girl, Stella, looked on in utter fascination and amazement! It was a slice of heaven!!!

Anyone with a connection to nature knows it's best not to feed wild animals. Great way to bring mountain lions to your property if you feed deer 24/7. You can also spread CWD especially if you're hand feeding multiple deer or putting out salt licks.

@@daddybandit4431 Hunting is no longer necessary for eating, idk if you’ve checked but we don’t live in those times anymore. Everything is available freely, plant-based and cruelty free substitutes are everywhere, and no one has to die and give up their entire life for your 5-minute meal. Now it exists just to differentiate the people who are senseless killers, from the rest of us.

No wild animal is tame. They can be socialized to humans, but never tamed. You have to respect that... But dude up above is correct.... It does make them an easy target for hunters.

I once car camped with my dog at a wonderful campground in Oregon, near the ocean. There were deer which were so used to being welcomed (and fed...LOL) by the many campers, that they casually just walked up the road, through campsites, etc., to see if there were any "kind humans." Of course, I hand fed a beautiful doe (with her fawn), while my perfectly behaved Boxer girl, Stella, looked on in utter fascination and amazement! It was a slice of heaven!!!
