Playing the Rare Candy before the Super Rod was criminal lol
It really is lol. If it wasn't for the Iron Thorns blocking the ability this would have been a HUGE mistake lmao.
My usual experience as a Gardevoir player: free wins.
Step 1: use Scream Tail to deny them Dusknoir or Pidgeot. You don’t want them to be rolling on draws or take a double KO. If you can’t stop the Noir, attach Bravery Charm to Relicanth.
Step 2: knock out Zard with Drifblim. Even if he Boss’s your Garde, Drifblim will just make it an even prize trade.
Step 3: if you can’t finish the job with Drifblim, surprise Tulip for Scream Tail Bravery Charm onto Rotom or Fez. Or just Boss the Rotom and win with Garde attacking.
Oh yeah being able to stop the Pidgeot is really good against Zard Decks. I really should play some Gardevoir again before Rotation comes in huh...

on your second turn when you drew the prime catcher you could have just used that and attached to the charmader, popped the dusclops and attacked with Charmander

As a Gardevoir player. Drago VSTAR is the most irritating and braindead deck of all time. All they do is spam Trifrost and expect to win the game when I can Candy --> Garde ex and play on...
@@oberonthemystic3752honestly I’d consider Regidrago VSTAR more fun using a bigger variety of dragon cards than the usual Giratina VSTAR, Dragapult ex and kyruem

The main reason everyone hates zard (including me fuck this card) is because it’s
Easy to play
Easy to win with
Easy to understand
Easy to tweak anything in the deck and still be good
And having good stats where you don’t need to worry about damage calculations or defensive attributes
All attached to a fan favourite Pokemon making it extremely popular
Truly the definition of a Mid Ladder Menace
The worst parts for me, on TOP of all these are two things:
- The Dark typing, which effectively gives Water decks a gigantic middle finger when we've all been trained to deal with Fire types with Water for so long, alongside...
- The fact that Burning Darkness ONLY gets stronger when YOU'RE the one at an advantage, which adds too much forgiveness to bad plays and actively REWARDING bad habits as a result
both of which make this deck so aggravatingly braindead

@StickyTrap because dark is weak to bug type and in the TCG bug type is represented by the green cards, which represents both grass and bug type

you didn't have to put rotom in play turn one in the second match cause you had double stage 2 already in hand (especially against regidrago with dragapult available)
Do you think it would be a good idea to reinforce Charizard with Maximum Belt, Belt of Choice and one or two Kieran? So that in this way the basic Pokémon V and Ex can be lowered faster in the third turn? or is it too risky??? greetings
Alot of Charizard Lists run Maximum Belt so you can defintily play that. Choice Belt seems alright but I am really not sure about Kieran. You could try it out I suppose.
@Lostgiratina I didn't know the Maximum Belt was on the lists, it's very useful. Kieran and choice belt are changeable, but you should try, since a kieran could win a match quickly.

For me Charizard is pretty balance on its own if you know how play around, the thing that made him the most broken is dusknoir (take one prize of bench pokemon/weakening big active pokemon + boost Charizard) is way too strong
Yeahhhhh Dusknoir can be kinda stupid ngl. And the drawback of the Opponent getting a Price Card basically just helps Zard more then it hurts it lol.
Nah zard is still op even without Dusknoir

As a cpao player, ivev taken to either knocking out all of their charmanders on second turn w greninja and hoping thatv they can't come back or conceding. No inbetween. /j
Tbh zard is ok? Like, it's only as much of a hassle for me because I play big basics, but, like, it's not that much of a damage dealer for the rest of the meta. It doesn't 1hko everything without dusknoir, and even then, it is kinda hard to play 3 rare candies with nothing to get items back in deck. I played Lake duo + Frosslass quite a lot, and charizard often struggles with devo due to how many stage 2 it plays
