In the grand scheme of things man has nothing to be proud of. Man did not create the heavens and the earth, the sun, the moon, the stars. Mankind is sinful by nature and prone to error in every human endeavor. The only proper way for man to approach God is in humbleness of spirit, mind, and heart. The humble man will be received by God. The proud man is rejected by God.
