I have to go for earthing for commercial building (50TON AC and lights ) and 25KVA transformer and 125KVA and 62.5 KVA genset... some electrician advising to go with GI and some advising to go with copper and some saying mix of both... if you can help in this it will be great help.

In generator , armature is rotating and field winding is stationary ,hence emf is induce in armature winding , armature winding terminals is soldered on commutator , commutator is mechanical rectifier and it is convert alternative current into direct current,hence output is D.C.
In alternator, armature is stationary and three winding Is wound on stator, field winding is wond rotor , we supply dc current in rotor for excitation purpose, when rotor rotate by prime mover, it's flux cuts armature winding ,and hence emf is induce in armature winding
