I was sick and tired of dealerships having NO CLUE what a SIMPLE hesitation/shudder could be without the ALMIGHTY code reading they ALL rely on these days... useless. Thanks, Serge. You saved me again. I was in low power limp mode, checked my hoses and they had no cracks..but no turbo and 50mph max. I threw a p0404 on my code reader, so I began to pull my EGR to clean it. The tip on how to break it loose was essential. It was covered in carbon and the spring was not snapping it closed. I cleaned it thoroughly and reinstalled but the problem persisted. I ended up having to get one for $140 online, installed and problem was fixed. This is like the 5th time you've helped me fix my van and keep it on the road. Many thanks again for your service to the t1n sprinter community.
I have a 2005 sprinter with 410000 miles on it, sometimes when I start it and put it in drive and try to accelerate it is sluggish and black smoke comes out the pipe. I restart and the problem goes away. and when it is shifting , when it gets above 3000 rpm it sounds like I have a exhaust leak . my exhaust system is good . could this be a egr problem ? no codes are showing up.
Hi Serge. thanks for all the info I’m a new owner of a t1n sprinter and have experienced limp mode for the first time. I couldn’t go over 40mph so I did an EGR by pass with a resistor and I am now able to go after but still no turbo. I get a code P0403 and so it seems it’s the EGR that’s gone bad. However I have called Dodge and Mercedes’ to try and source a replacement EGR but they are discontinued. Could you please help me figure out this nightmare are there good ones aftermarket that you would recommend? Apologies for the edits autocorrect is actively trying to ruin my life.
My fiesta egr is at back of the engine and not very accessible. It has the egr cooler bolted to one side which is impossible to take off without removing half the engine first. The other side is facing down towards the ground. No way to get a pipe into it, to lever it side to side. How can I get this off!!! 2014 1.6tdci fiesta.

what is the black liquid inside your intake manifold and hose? is it oil or soot + coolant or diesel? i have that liquid, too. i found more of the black liquid on my turbo. is this a problem that you have resolved by replacing EGR or oil cooler? thank you, zim.

I've found another video that showed mine being done. You need to back your camera up or go to a bit wider screen. When you were showing the tool or? It wasn't even in frame.

Suggestion : make sure you put the year of build of sprinter ,engine capacity for the car your working on .there are different sprinters and parts , even when you go to spare part shops still they give you wrong part because of so many variants and the date you are working on the sprinter . Thank you .

@@utubepro7742 You can buy yourself an emulator that will trick the computer. It is not a delete, since no programming is needed. It is a plug in the original plug from the EGR and one wire will connect to one of the wires from the Air Mass Sensor.
ZIMALETA HOW TO SHOW & UNBOXING I watched the video quickly and saw you doing that, I didn’t break completely I was able to connect the hose and tightened it, hopefully there will not be leaking but eventually I will need to get a new one , anyways thanks for reply , I watch most of your videos 👍

Why would you want to bypass the information coming from the EGR?? You trick the EGR then have problems with the Swirl valves. Sooner or later you may as well just yank the motor and stick in an LS motor.

I tried your method removing the egr insertion the tench , and that part where the Jose goes into broke, that’s not a good way to remove it
I think I mentioned that it can break, you must be careful when doing this, it’s easy to break it
