The vet I took my kitten to didn't check him properly. I told him there were worms in his vomit, so they just gave a liquid medicine, but he died after a few hours when we came back home. They also gave him some injection. He was totally fine the day before and everything happened so suddenly.
Hello, we adopted an older dog from the shelter May 26th and he had heart worms. The shelter told us my cats could not get it from him, just mosquitoes. The shelter gave him 3 shots over the first 3 months we had him plus pills I had to give him daily for about 2 weeks after each shot. He was doing so good but the this Tuesday he started panting when walking and when he got to the top of 4 steps he almost passed out. He went completely downhill and died Wednesday night. Just now, my cat who is 19 started choking/ coughing. This is totally new. I plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow but you just said there’s no meds for cats. What can I do?? I know his age is against him 😭

My cat died today, i came home to him dead on the floor with blood coming out of his nose. He was fine and then suddenly he just died so quickly.

Hi, are all mosquitoes carriers of heartworm larvae? What are the chances that these mosquitoes have one? I'm worried.
