My Dad and I used to dirt-bike the KVR many times. Ate far too many delicious burgers at the Chute Lake Lodge. I worked on the trestles adding railings for many weekends. I also cycled the KVR many, many times. Great memories, other than when we lost many of the trestles in the 2003 fire. That broke my heart after all the work that had been done.

Worked pipeline maintenance for Trans Mountain through the Coquihalla Canyon before the highway was built, as a student in the late 70s. I admired the trestles, which were very impressive from the canyon floor. Impressive work.

The only year I drove on it with a Volkswagen Beetle, I didn't get that far because of rocks inside of a couple of tunnels 😢 have walked a bit of it to, beautiful views!

I'm stunned. That's my best friend Terry Brown and his mum and dad. Terry passed away shortly after this was filmed.

@@themuseumarchivesofvernon1166 Sorry for the misunderstanding. Terry passed away in 1981, shortly after this was filmed. The film is great and I'm so glad I found it.

Excellent footage and nicely captured history! We first explored Myra Canyon Trestles in 1989 after the rails and ties had been removed. The original wooden trestles were magnificent to see and walk across without decking or handrails. Love that we have this spectacular piece of the KVR history to still enjoy!

This story far from ends here! I wish to commend Ed Kruger and Monashee Adventure Tours for keeping this line alive!!! I walked this line many times as a youth. Today i still have dreams of being there. That was when the tracks where still there! Kinda of a surreal! We would drag big rocks to the middle and send them off into the creek/river below! It was like a "Stand by Me" moment in time, only we stood a good chance of being the dead body as trains were still running then! Luv this!! Thanks!!

I have biked large sections of this trail. I wish I had lived in the time the train ran the rails. I would've loved to take that ride.

Around 1985/1986 my roomie and I drove from Myra to Pentictorn. The tracks were gone by then. The Naramata tunnels were just barely driveable due to ice.
